MAN-E-NEWS// The “Flesh” and “Lime” Mad Wrestlers keshi from Monster Island x Disart ToyLabs…

Originally seeing a limited resin release at Toy Art Gallery back in May, the Mad Wrestlers from Monster Island are finally getting a release in rubber courtesy of the Disart ToyLabs this weekend! Heavily inspired by the Weirdballs mini figure off-shoots, these ingenious little guys feature modified KO Madball popper heads that have been kit-bashed with a number of different M.U.S.C.L.E bodies. Featuring a total of 6 different designs from Monster Island’s Paul Bas – 3 more than the original release – the group have all been recast by the Disart ToyLabs’ Tru:Tek in a flexible, UV resistant rubber. Coming packed on authentic, hand cut “Madballs Vs. M.U.S.C.L.E” cardbacks featuring art from AshMadeThis, the figures will be making their keshi debut in 2 different limited edition colorways – a vibrant “Lime Green” and the standard “Flesh-tone” – both coming in at just $55 a set plus shipping. Dropping as part of a unique, cross-Atlantic release, expect to see the flesh set touch down in the Man-E-Toys/Disart store on Sunday, September 6th at 3pm GMT (10am Eastern), whilst the lime will be making an appearance in the Monster Island store on the same day 5 hours later at 3pm Eastern… Look out for details of the next DCon exclusive release soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Fake Commander” stand alone release from Skullmark x Awesome Toy…

Originally offered up as part of the Fake Baron “Episode 2” Battle Set release a couple of weeks back, the stunning “Fake Commander” from Skullmark and Awesome Toy is now up for grabs as a standalone figure! Featuring the all-new body design from Skullmark’s ongoing “Galaxy Commander” line, the piece rather ingeniously has a new head sculpted by Awesome Toy based on their recurring Fake Baron character. Produced in the same blue vinyl with black masked sprays and chest insert as the original release, Commander Baron has been limited to just 30 pieces priced at $79.99 each. Go check them out in the Toy Underground store right here before they quickly disappear! But that’s not all… On top of Commander Baron, Awesome Toy are also offering up unpainted editions of both the OG Fake Baron, plus the FB mini sets. Singapore-based artist Daniel Yu is proud to announce that 3 of his most popular resin figures will be returning this week for a special pastel-themed release! Featuring the Jiangshi Acolyte in an unpainted pastel purple for $20, Wilbur in a pastel green for $30 and The Plague Oracle – complete with 3 interchangeable accessories – in a pastel pink, all 3 figures have been limited to editions of just 10 hand cast pieces each. Originally teased right here way back in June, we can now reveal that the awesome “Skull God Dude” custom keshi from Nama Niku and John Black will be making it’s debut soon! Meticulously kit-bashed and re-sculpted by Nama using a variety of classic mini figures, the “Sidewalk Surfer” has been cast up by John in a soft resin, coming packed with an awesome in-scale skateboard for the little guy to ride on. Due to come packed with header art John, the Skull God dude will be making it’s debut in a special “Gravy Glow Green” colorway as part of the “Gravy Mini Shop and Gallery” opening at Portland’s Floating World Comics on September 3rd… Unable to attend the event? Then you’ll be glad to know that along with the previously featured “Chibi Pachi-Bots“, a limited supply of stock has been held back for an online release in the Gravy Toys store a week later. MAN-E-NEWS// Mirock Toy’s new “Dr Mirock Tank” mini revealed…

Keeping up their steady flow of new figures over the past year, Mirock Toy have just unveiled one of the coolest creations we’ve seen yet… the “Dr Mirock Tank” mini! Closely based on the original “Dr Mirock’s Strange Invention” figure, the claw-armed deity has been perfectly down-scaled to what we can only guess to be around 2″ tall, featuring the same meticulous detailing albeit with a few minor modifications. Whilst we’re still unsure as to whether the figure will be released as an open-bottom sofubi similar to the original mini “Mirock Tank” or as a solid keshi – we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the latter – you can be sure that as soon as we find out, you guys will be the first in the know…

Hot on the heals of yesterday’s “Namazu” and “Karakasa” coverage (check it here), Japan-based sofubi producer Science Patrol is proud to reveal the arrival yet more soft vinyl minis… the adorable Beakies of the World! Standing at around 3″ tall, the super cute 2-part figures have been produced in a flesh tone for their first ever outing, coming in a whopping total of 9 different painted varieties ranging from “Blue Budgie” to “Avocado Bird”. Currently residing in the Science Patrol store right here, the Beakies can be yours for the special “Early Bird” price of just $10 each plus shipping (expect them at $13 when they make their official debut later in the year)…

Originally teased here earlier in the month, we can now reveal that the first round of officially licensed “Human Centipede” keshi from Geek Life and Six Entertainment is now up for grabs! Coinciding with the launch of the infamous horror series’ third and final “sequence” in Japanese cinemas, the release consists of 2 figures to start with, crazed surgeon “Dr Heiter” and a generic “Centipede Human”, both have been sculpted by Kenth Toy Works‘ Komori Kentaro Kenth, coming in-scale with contemporary keshi figures at around 1.5″-2.5″ each. Produced in a keshi-style soft resin, both figures are available in a choice of 4 different colorways – flesh, orange, blue and green – coming in at just 2,000yen each plus shipping. Currently up for grabs in the Geek Life store right here, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the remaining 3 figures from the series (Jenny, Lindsay and Katsuro) are set to follow soon…

Joining the previously featured “Namazu” and “Karakasa” from Science Patrol, Mee Mie have revealed that they will be re-releasing their “Nupperu” keshi at the Fukagawa Haunted Fair this weekend! Heavily inspired by yokai and vintage japanese horror toys, the “fancy occult gift” stands at little over 1″ tall, coming cast in a pink keshi-like soft resin. Coming packed with an authentic horror toy header, the little guy will be up for grabs in limited numbers at the TofuBoy Records booth this coming Sunday, August 23rd for just 500yen ($4) a piece…

Last seen way back in June, we can now reveal that the “Chibi Pachi-Bot: Deadly Rays of Death” keshi mini series fromNama Niku will finally see the light of day soon thanks to Bwana Spoons over at Gravy Toys! Meticulously kit-bashed by Nama from a variety of different vintage keshi mini figures, the quartet – Alpha Minus, Omega Trois, Koroshiya Zelph and Kolob Infinito – all stand at a chibi-sized 0.75″-1″ tall, coming cast up by Eric Nilla in a selection of black washed, metallic colored rubber. Due to come packed with header art from none other than John Black, the Chibi Pachi-Bots will be making their debut as part of the “Gravy Mini Shop and Gallery” opening at Portland’s Floating World Comics on September 3rd… Unable to attend the event? Hot on the heals of the recently featured “Tunneler“, Lee Burbridge over at Bigmantoys has just unveiled yet another mini figure sculpt based on “The Puppet Master”, this time taking on arguably the most recognisable character from the cult horror series… the Blade! Digitally sculpted by Lee in Z-Brush, the weapon-handed “spy” doll once again features a similar aesthetic to the classic Kinnikuman/M.U.S.C.L.E line – albeit with Charles Band‘s distinct air of horror – presumably coming in-scale with both the iconic minis and previously revealed “Tunneler” at around 2″ tall. Similarly, whilst licensing for Blade is still to be confirmed, official or not, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a release in a keshi-style rubber on the Bigmantoys store soon…

Meticulously realised by Lee in Z-Brush, the digital sculpt follows a similar aesthetic to the classic Kinnikuman/M.U.S.C.L.E line – albeit with Charles Band‘s distinct air of horror – presumably come in-scale with the iconic minis at around 2″ tall. Whilst licensing for the figure is still to be confirmed, official or not, we’ll be hoping to see the figure in a keshi-style flexible rubber soon…

Originally teased here just last week, we can now reveal the debut keshi line from Radioactive Uppercut – Freaks, Finks and Spazzes – in-full! Drawing inspiration from the likes of Ed Roth’s Rat Fink, gross-out toys such as the Madballs and cult figures the Ma-Ba Zombies, the initial line-up is set to feature a total of 3 very different miscreants – Franken Corpse, Coffin Licker and Spider Brains – all coming in at a super-chunky 3″ tall and nearly 2″ wide. Due to be produced in a keshi-style soft resin courtesy of our very own Tru:Tek and the Disart ToyLabs soon, expect to hear more about these awesome figures a little closer to their first release next month…

With Elder Demons: Series 2 set to make its keshi debut soon, creator Johan Ulrich over at DeathCat Toys has wasted no time in working on a follow-up, proudly presenting the first female to the cast… The Fate! Once again designed by Johan and sculpted by KtoKto, the mystic beauty features a similar aesthetic to the first 4 characters, standing at a little under 3″ tall and featuring a Bukkuriman/Ma-Ba Zombies split torso, finger puppet style design. Likely to make a debut in keshi form courtesy of DuboseArt over the next few months, keep a look out for a full reveal of The Fate’s companion Series 3 figure soon…

Japanese artist Chihiro Takigawa over at Mokos is proud to announce that his “Fancy Fluffy” keshi is now up for grabs online! Originally debuting at Wonderfestival Summer ’15 a couple of weeks back, the line-up consists of a total of 5 different figures from both series 1 and 2 – “Hero Fluffy”, “Friend Fluffy”, “Ninja Fluffy”, “Sister/Dog Fluffy” (sold together) – the adorable little sheep stand at around 1″-2″ tall, coming cast in a keshi-style soft resin with a choice of either classic blue, orange or green colorways. Currently up for grabs to Japanese customers through the Mokos store priced at just 1,000yen-1,500yen ($8-$12) each, we’ll be keeping our fingers and toes crossed for an overseas release soon…


MAN-E-NEWS// Geek Life’s officially licensed “The Human Centipede” keshi revealed…

Japanese pop culture lifestyle brand Geek Life are proud to reveal that they’ve secured a license to produce keshi based on Tom Six’s infamous cult horror flick, The Human Centipede! Utilising the sculpting talents of Kenth Toy Works‘ Komori Kentaro Kenth, the release is set to feature a total of 5 mini figures inspired by the “First Sequence”, including the rather unfortunate Jenny, Lindsay and Katsuro, crazed surgeon Dr Heiter, and what we can only assume to be the “truck driver”, a failed test subject from early on in the film. Due to be making their debut in a keshi style rubber at some point over the next month or so, be sure to keep a close eye on Geek Life’s Facebook page here for full release details soon…

Sofubi producer Shikamark are proud to introduce their latest sofubi, the “Monster School” finger puppets! Inspired by the silverscreen’s classic monsters as well as Mattel and Bandai’s cult Ma-Ba Zombie toys, the series features a total of 4 figures sculpted with a school-infused theme -“Franken teacher”, plus pupils “Cyclops-kun”, “Medusa-chan” and “Salamander-kun” – each standing at around 3″ tall and featuring a simple uncapped, open base. Making their debut (and quickly selling out!) at Wonderfestival Summer ’15 last weekend, the unpainted black colorway you see above came in at just 2,000yen ($16)… Here’s hoping an overseas release is in the pipeline soon!

Japanese artist Chihiro Takigawa is proud to reveal that his “Fancy Fluffy” keshi series will be making its debut at Wonderfestival Summer ’15 this weekend! Featuring 3 sheep characters alongside what appears to be a shepherd, the wonderfully stylised figures come in at around 1″-2″ each. Produced in a mix of blue, green and orange soft resin for this first release, the Fancy Fluffy keshi will be up for grabs at Takigawa’s booth this Sunday, July 26th, each coming packed with matching Bikkuriman-style stickers for an undisclosed sum… Here’s hoping the little guys get some sort of overseas release soon!

Having seen a few limited releases since their debut back in February, Jungle‘s “Demon Castle of Gle-Jun” sofubi minis are set to return this weekend as a Wonderfestival Summer ’15 exclusive! Featuring a total of 6 different figures from the Neclos Fortress-inspired series – including designs from Jungle regulars Uky Daydreamer and Skulltula – the release has been split up into 2 different sets, both coming beautifully hand sprayed in a selection of muted, earthy tones. Going on sale at Jungle’s WF booth this coming Sunday, July 26th for around 5,000yen ($40) a set, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the little guys will finally see their online debut soon…
