Originally debuting at Wonderfestival back in February, the “Zombie Army” keshi from up and coming keshi outfit FTWR Toy is finally available worldwide! Based on FTWR’s recent Bikkuriman-style sticker release, the ingenious 2.5″ tall design comes complete with a couple of neat design features inspired by knock-off kinkeshi- an embedded blade in the shoulder and a lead pipe that can be removed from the chest! Produced in a selection of flesh, green and pink rubber, the little guy comes packed with the aforementioned holographic sticker plus booklet for just $27 plus shipping. Interested in picking one up? With summer finally starting to rear it’s head, resin artist Peter Kato has decided to celebrate with his latest round resin mini figures… the Sunshine EyeHeart Bunnies! Featuring Peter’s all-new “EyeHeart” design, the 3″ tall figure has been digitally sculpted, prototyped and cast in a summery light yellow resin this time around, coming complete with minimal hand painted detailing in neon pink acrylics. Touching down in the Peter Kato store this coming Thursday, May 28th at 8pm Eastern time, pricing and edition size is still to be confirmed… Look out for details of Peter’s latest figure, the DIY “Bunnie Box”, later in the week!

Born out of his love for M.U.S.C.L.E and custom mini figures, Justin Jewett over at Hateball has prepared a very special toy release, the “Zinkeshi” Zinewolf sofubi! Produced in the classic keshi gomu flesh-tone, the 8″ tall soft vinyl figure – complete with a magnetically attached mask (not pictured) – comes packed with an all-new ‘zine plus a special little surprise… a mini-sized keshi Zinewolf! Reduced, prototyped and produced in a flesh-toned rubber courtesy of our very own Tru:Tek, we’re told to expect more of these miniaturised versions very soon… Available in strictly limited quantities in the Hateball store right here, the “Zinkeshi” Zinewolf can be yours for just $75 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// Uncut’s “Mush Man” Splatter Retsuden keshi revealed in full…

Originally teased here way back in February, the second figure in Uncut‘s ongoing “Splatter Retsuden” series – aptly titled “Mush Man” – had finally been revealed in-full! Inspired by cult horror flick Return of the Living Dead 2’s “Tarman” character, the Bikkuriman-style keshi appears to be the same size as the previously released Splatter Retsuden (Boropushi/Cropsey) at 2.5″, this time around coming complete with a mini brain accessory. Due to touch down in a selection of different colored rubber alongside an all-new holographic sticker on the Uncut site soon, be sure to stay tuned for full release details over the next few days…

Originally teased here earlier in the month, we can now reveal that Monster Island‘s awesome “Mad Muscle” custom mini figures are now up for grabs exclusively at Toy Art Gallery! Heavily inspired by the Weirdballs mini figure off-shoots, these ingenious little guys feature recast and reduced Madball heads that have been kit-bashed with a number of different M.U.S.C.L.E bodies. Produced in 2 exclusive resin colorways for the gallery – a white and red – both have been treated to a detail hugging black rub alongside subtle hand painted detailing. Priced at just $30 for a set of 3, the Mad Muscles can be found in limited numbers on the TAG store right here… But that’s not all! After a brief hiatus, the guys over at Ironhaus Pro are back with the second instalment of Universe of Violence “Chaos Dimension” mini figures! Featuring a total of 3 new designs this time around – Deadface II, West Nile and the much anticipated new “boss” figure Hell Chicken – the trio have been designed and sculpted by Jimmy Rommel, with production handed over to the newly established Ironhaus Oz, formerly Metal Monkey Studios. Set to come cast in a variety of different colored rubber, expect to see all 3 figures in the Ironhaus Oz store very soon…


MAN-E-NEWS// Algangu’s “Dissolution of Smoke: Vol. 2″ sofubi revealed…

With the original “Dissolution of Smoke” sofubi proving to be a huge success (check it here), creator Algangu has wasted no time in getting to work on a second wave of characters! Featuring a total of 3 all-new designs inspired by traditional yokai and 1970’s candy shop playing cards, the finger puppet-style figures – a gourd holding monk, a castle and a cycloptic hat – stand a little shorter than the first release at around 2.5″-3″ each. Pictured above in finished test shot form, Dissolution of Smoke: Vol. 2 is expected to drop very soon… Look out for full release details over the coming weeks!


MAN-E-NEWS (UPDATED)// Mee Mie’s “Lemonjah” keshi revealed…

The creators of last years hugely popular “Emerian” Vinyl Artist Gacha figure (check it here) – Mee Mie – are proud to reveal that they’ll have an all-new mini up for grabs at Design Fiesta 41 this weekend! Entitled “Lemonjah”, the Neclos-inspired anthropomorphic fruit has been hand sculpted in keshi-scale by Mee Mie’s Kazuaki Sasaki, coming cast in a lemon yellow colored rubber for this first release. Touching down at Mee Mie’s DF booth (number TBC) this Saturday, May 16th, Lemonjah is expected to come in at around 2,500yen ($21)… Here’s hoping for an overseas release soon!

Sculptor and illustrator Rufus has just unleashed a whole load of new work in his online store, the pick of the bunch – for us at least! – coming in the form of these awesome OMFG Cry-Borg “Camo” customs! Standing at around 2″ of olive colored PVC, Rufus’ very own entry into OMFG Series 2 has been treated to 3 subtly different camouflage colorways; 4 Color (top), Regular and Small Camo, each coming painted in a multitude of acrylics and finished with a protective clear coat. Limited to just one of each, the “Camo” Cry-Borgs can be found in the Rufus store right here for just $25 each plus shipping…

The guys over at Refreshment Toy are proud to reveal that an all-new “Exotic Short Hair” version of their ever-popular Cupcake Cat sofubi will be making its debut at Design Fiesta 41 this weekend! Standing at around 2.5″ tall, the adorable little kitty will be making it’s first appearance in a clear soft vinyl, coming with a gorgeous pink, grey, white and red internal paint app and gold inset dolls eyes. Packed in a deluxe custom printed mini tote bag, the “Exotic Short Hair” Cupcake Cat will be available alongside a whole host of other Refreshment goodies at DF booth G423 starting this Saturday, May 16th… Here’s hoping a few make it online soon after!

MAN-E-NEWS// Newtervision’s Dracula-inspired Deformate keshi revealed…

With “Frank”, “Madman” and “Pyonshi” releasing last year to huge critical acclaim (check them here if you haven’t already), Newtervison‘s horror keshi series “Deformate” is set to return soon with the arrival of an all-new Dracula inspired figure! Pictured here on the work-bench of sculptor Kto Kto as a near-finished clay prototype, the little guy is very much in-keeping with the previous figures (pictured here with Frank), featuring a chunky super-deformed aesthetic and coming in at around 2.5″ tall. Whilst release details are still scarce at present, we’re guessing the latest Deformate will be making his debut in a selection of different colored rubber/resin at Design Fiesta 41 later this month. Stay tuned for more news as soon as we hear anything!

Newtervision is proud to reveal that the latest figure in his ongoing MASH keshi series, “Giant”, will be making a return this week for the Amazing Modelling Expo in Osaka! Standing at an oversized 2.5″ tall, the split torso, resin/rubber hybrid will be up for grabs in 2 mixed part colorways; black with metallic purple and “devil” red with gun metal grey. Touching down at the Newtervision booth (1f) this coming Tuesday, May 5th for around 2,500yen ($21) each, we can but hope for some form of online release soon after…

The guys over at Uamou are kicking their “Golden Week” celebrations off with a bang today, as they proudly present the Chaos and Order: Special Edition Bastards! Once again teaming up with Minoru Takagi – father of Uamou creator, Ayako Takagi – the master craftsman and jeweller has created a total of 12 copper masks for the 3″ tall black vinyl Bastard figure, each featuring an original hand-chisseled pattern that’s been decorated with splashes of gold and silver and set with both sapphire and ruby stones. Available at the Altelier-based Uamou store throughout Golden Week for just 10,000yen ($84) each, overseas enquiries can be made by e-mailing Uamou directly at shop@uamou.com. As you can see by the image below, a number of the figures have already sold out, so be sure to act quick to avoid missing out on the remaining few!

MAN-E-NEWS// Medicom Toy’s Vinyl Artist Gacha: Series 3 revealed…

Having had continued success with their Vinyl Artist Gacha line over the past few months, Medicom Toy are proud to reveal that a third series of the multi-artist minis will be touching down next month! This time featuring 4 of sofubi’s biggest hitters; RESTORE, Zollmen, Instinct Toy and Sunguts, each have contributed miniaturised versions of some of their most popular toys, including Dry Head, Mad Baron, Curio Bear and Miku Zombie. Following a similar template to previous VAG releases, the set of 4 new figures feature a stanard 2.5″ tall 2-part design that come in a selection of 5 randomly assorted colorways. Touching down at Village Vangard alongside 26 other Japan-based retailers throughout late May-June for a super-cheap 463yen ($4) each, VAG: Series 3 will unfortunately remain a Japan-only release, meaning overseas customers are going to need to get in contact with forwarding service M-World at m-world-service@dream.jp to be in with a chance of picking them up…

Paul Bass over at Monster Island is proud to reveal his latest custom bootleg release, the awesome Mad Wrestlers! Heavily inspired by the Weirdballs mini figure off-shoots, these ingenious little guys feature recast and reduced Madball heads that have been kit-bashed with a number of different M.U.S.C.L.E bodies. Whilst the pictured GID resin set was created as a gift for Toy Art Gallery’s Gino Joukar, we’re told to expect a full release – alongside a run in a keshi-style rubber – in the near future. MAN-E-NEWS// The Siryosei Expo exclusive “Snack Pack” sofubi minis from Rampage Toys…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has revealed that he’ll be exhibiting at Mandarake‘s Siryosei Expo in Nakano, Tokyo, this Sunday, bringing along a whole host of one-off customs and painted runs… including this rather awesome “Snack Pack” sofubi mini set! Featuring both male and female Hokkaido settler omake from Rampage’s highly sought after Kesagake sofubi, the 3″ tall, 2-part figures have been produced in a flesh-toned vinyl this time around, featuring a mix of black, brown, pink, white and blue hand painted detailing. Packed in an authentic “snack foods” box with a header designed by Walter P, each set comes with an all-new holographic sticker created by Bikkuriman enthusiast Kanayama-san. Edition size is still to be confirmed at present, but we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that at least a couple sets remain for online sales early next week…

Originally debuting way back in September of last year, Medicom Toy‘s Cosmos Alien Series is set to return as part of an unlikely – yet mind bendingly awesome – collaboration with Japanese underwear brand, BETONE! Featuring Cosmos’ original 1970’s Octopus (Ooze-It) and Fish gacha minis, the pair are joined by 4 new sculpts from Mirock Toy’s Kaneko Yowohei; the Squid, Sea Urchin, Blob Fish and Sea Horse. Produced in a variety of super-squishy glitter infused clear vinyl, the gang are due to come randomly packed in with the purchase of a pair of Cosmos Alien themed underpants. With a total of 5 different designs up for grabs at just 3,900yen ($33) each, be sure to look out for these ridiculously cool pant/toy sets when they hit BETONE retailers in late August…

Singapore-based artist Daniel Yu is proud to reveal that he’ll have a whole slew of new figures up for grabs in his online store this weekend! First making their debut at Art Toy Culture Seoul a couple of weeks back, a limited supply of pieces have been held back specifically for online sales, including familiar characters alongside all-new creations “Zuco Banana” the monkey general, “Porkins” the mutant pig and more. Standing at around 3″-4″ each, the figures have been broken up into 2 broad categories for the sale, with “solid colored” (some mixed parts) variants coming in at $19-$30 each, and “fully hand painted” versions just $60-$80. Touching down in the Daniel Yu store this Saturday, May 2nd at 9am Singapore time, be sure to head on over early to take a closer look at what will be on offer…

Nama Niku has joined forces with Eric Nilla once more for his latest round of bootleg keshi, proudly presenting the awesome Chibi Pachi-Bots: The Deadly Rays of Death! Meticulously kit-bashed by Nama from a variety of different vintage keshi mini figures, the quartet – Alpha Minus, Omega Trois, Koroshiya Zelph and Kolob Infinito – all stand at a chibi-sized 0.75″-1″ tall, coming cast up by Nilla in a mix of flesh-toned and gold pigmented rubber. Due to drop with header art from none other than John Black in the near future, expect the full lowdown on these little guys soon…
