MAN-E-NEWS// Mee Mei x Medicom Toy’s “Emerian” Vinyl Artist Gacha Series 1…

Originally debuting as a self-produced resin mini figure at Design Fiesta 39 back in May (check him here), the little guy has now received an official license from Cosmos, releasing in a choice of 5 soft vinyl colorways as part of Medicom’s new Vinyl Artist Gacha (VAG) Series 1. Touching down at Village Vangard alongside 26 other Japan-based retailers on December 13th for a super-cheap 463yen ($4) each, overseas customers are going to need to get in contact with forwarding service M-World at m-world-service@dream.jp to be in with a chance of securing these awesome minis…

MAN-E-NEWS// The S.U.C.K.L.E Series 2 “Krono Pussy” incentive figure from Frank Kozik…

With backing for the S.U.C.K.L.E Series 2 Kickstarter now a little over 60%, the guys over at DKE Toys have decided to give the project a little push by adding an eleventh figure to the already bulging line-up… Frank Kozik‘s Krono Pussy! Originally released as a 3.75″ custom bootleg as part of The Sucklord‘s Super Suck Up! 2 show last November, this new 2″ tall mini figure rendition has been created in much the same way, featuring a kit-bashed Sucklord 75 with an originally sculpted octopus head. Available to all backers that pledge a minimum of $45 – the price of the Kickstarter Exclusive Set – each will be guaranteed to receive a copy of the figure in both GID and the standard flesh-tone. With the campaign finishing in little over a weeks time – Friday, November 5th to be exact – we suggest heading over to the page right here and getting that pledge in ASAP before it’s too late…

Hot on the heels of the previously posted “Black” and “Rose” editions, Uamou‘s Bastard sofubi mini receives yet another colored release this week in a gorgeous “Dark Raspberry” vinyl! Standing at around 2.75″ tall and coming with articulation in the neck, the little guy is once again being offered up blank for just 1,800yen ($17) or with a painted mouth for 2,000yen ($19). Currently available to purchase through Uamou’s Atelier shop in Tokyo, overseas customers will be glad to know that the figure will also be up for grabs through the online store very soon…

Having seen numerous setbacks since their first reveal back in early 2012, Jon Karris over at Little Rubber Guys is very pleased to announce that the first production run of Rise of the Beasts will finally available to the general public this weekend! Inspired by the classic Battle Beast mini figures, these bang-up-to-date renditions stand at just under 2.5″ each, coming complete with 5 points of articulation. Kicking proceeding off with 2 different designs, Rhino and Scorpion, the pair are due to be offered up with 4 different colorways up for grabs; a Metallic Black/Grey painted version for $7, plus unpainted Flesh, Gold and Metallic Black for just $4 each. Look out for the little guys in the LRG store at somepoint this Saturday, November 15th…

Having proved a huge success worldwide since it’s successful Kickstarter campaign over a year ago, The Sucklord and DKE Toys‘ S.U.C.K.L.E mini figure series returns for a rather vengeful sequel! Once again consisting of 10 PVC renditions from the Sucklord universe, including Sucklord 75, Sucklord 61, Star Chump, Mary Paper$, Gay Energon, Douchebot, Crystal Pharoah, Wrecked Souls of Forgotten War, Chronos, and Bionic Carrot, each 2″, M.U.S.C.L.E scaled mini has been hand sculpted by October Toys’ George Gaspar based on the original 3.75″ figures. Currently available through an all-new Kickstarter campaign right here until Friday, December 5th, a number of different tiers and add-ons are available, ranging from a basic “Flesh” set for just $25, right up to THE DOV package- which, for $1,250, secures all released colorways in the Completist Set, plus a set of all 10 figures hand cast in resin by George Gaspar/October Toys! Healeymade has just unveiled that his latest figure, Trou Noir, will be debuting at Designer Con 2014 this weekend. With a name that rather aptly translates as “Black Hole”, the 6″ figure has actually been booted from a French “Black Hole” Kinnikuman knock-off, coming cast in a gorgeous metallic glitter purple resin that mimics the infamous mini figure bootlegs of the 1980s. Touching down at the Galactic Jerkbags booth (#1228) alongside a whole host of MUSCLE/MASK minis in both MIMP purple and green, pricing and edition size for Trou Noir are still to be confirmed…

DeathCat Toys and Nerdone have just revealed that their collaborative “Nekos in My Pocket” playset will be returning for Designer Con 2014 courtesy of Toy Art Gallery! Featuring the MOTU/Neclos inspired MOTULOS castle in an orange soft vinyl with dark orange and brown sprays, this has once again been joined by a DeathCat keshi companion, coming in a choice of either solid purple or orange rubber. Packed in the all-new custom MOTULOS box co-created by both Deathcat and Nerdone, the edition of 20 sets (TBC) are likely to set you back around $80 each. Hot off the heals of yesterday’s Cheestroyer keshi reveal, Eric Nilla proudly presents yet another new mini figure he’ll be debuting at Designer Con 2014, the Battlegini from Vasilis Lolos! Kit-bashed and re-sculpted by the artist from various vintage Kinnikuman, Battle Beast and Exogini figures, the ingenious creation stands at around 2″ tall, coming cast up by Nilla in a super-playable keshi-style rubber. Presumably up for grabs at the at the Eric Nilla x Fred Marinello DCon 2014 booth (#1126) this weekend in a selection of different colors, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for an official online release soon…

Having seen continued success with their Mini Cheestroyer sofubi, Bad Teeth Comics have teamed up with none other than Eric Nilla for a bite-sized keshi version of the burger-headed kaiju! Standing at little over 2″ tall, the little guy has been hand sculpted by Eric based on the original comic book design, coming cast in a keshi-style rubber and coming complete with a fully removable and interchangeable shell. Due to be making it’s debut at the Eric Nilla x Fred Marinello DCon 2014 booth (#1126) this weekend in a selection of different solid, mixed and marbled colorways, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for an official online release soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Hungry Hungry Hordak H.U.S.T.L.E AP release from Brutherford Industries…

It’s been a long time in coming, but the “Hungry Hungry Hordak” figure from Brutherford Industries has finally seen an artist proof release! Featuring as part of our very own Tru:Tek’s debut mini figure series H.U.S.T.L.E way back in 2012 (check it here if you haven’t already!), the 2″ tall M.U.S.C.L.E-style figure was designed and digitally sculpted by Brutherford, coming cast up by Tru:Tek in a keshi-style rubber. Available in an exclusive lime green colorway for the release, each figure comes packed with a custom header featuring the original HHH art for just $15 plus shipping. Found in the Brutherford Industries store right here alongside a whole host of other new stock, supplies of the figure are super-limited, so be sure to head on over ASAP to avoid disappointment!


MAN-E-NEWS// The “Pumpkin Golem” from RedJaroJam x Eric Nilla…

Mini figure sculptor Jared DeCosta aka RedJaroJam has teamed up with Eric Nilla for the release of his latest creation, the Pumpkin Golem! Whilst information on the little guy is still scarce at present, judging by the recent released photo he appears to be standard keshi size – around 2″ tall – coming complete with a beautifully realised Jack ‘O Lantern head, a blade wielding fist, and an array of super-detailed, life like textures- all meticulously captured in a keshi rubber courtesy of Eric. Dropping in the Eric Nilla store tonight at 6pm PST in marbled green/orange and green/black, both colorways have been limited to just 5 pieces each, with prices still to be confirmed. Those heading to Designer Con 2014 next week will also be glad to know that a wider selection of colors will be available from the Fred Marinello x Eric Nilla booth (#1126), with any leftovers heading online soon after…

The guys over at DKE Toys are proud to reveal another exclusive custom bootleg release they’ll be bringing along to Designer Con 2014 next month, the Caught’n Cody mini figure from Retroband! The third figure in the artist’s GPK inspired line Retroband Kids, the 2″ tall piece has been hand sculpt and cast in resin, coming in a pink flocking and mounted on a blistered trading card. Limited to an edition of 50 figures priced at $45 each, Caught’n Cody will be up for grabs at the DKE DCon booth (#1230) from November 8th to November 9th. Look out for more DKE exclusives on the site soon!

Singapore-based artist Daniel Yu is proud to reveal that a whole slew of figures have just touched down in his online store! Featuring a number of pieces that originally featured as part of Daniel’s extensive STGCC line-up last month, these have been joined by a number of seasonal, Halloween inspired pieces too. Here’s a quick rundown of the 10 new releases currently on offer…

Taupok King// A 4″ tall hand painted resin piece based on Devilrobots iconic Tofu character, each figure comes complete with individually sculpted maggots by Daniel. Limited to an edition of just 6 pieces, these have been priced at $100 each.

Tofu Head Halloween edition// Once again taking on Devilrobots’ Tofu, this time around as a single head with removable pumpkin, the hand painted resin figure comes in at 2.5″ x 2″ x 2″. Limited to just 4 pieces, these can be yours for just $65 each plus shipping.

Gory Bomb & Bronco Buster “Flesh” edition// Cast in a M.U.S.C.L.E inspired flesh-tone resin, the pair of vintage-styled 5.5″ (6″ in Bronco’s case!) wrestlers feature multiple points of magnetic articulation, each coming bagged with their own unique M.U.S.K.L.E header card. Limited to an edition of just 10 of each, both Gory Bomb and Bronco Buster have been priced at $40.

Mystery Mortis verion 2.0//
The hugely popular R. Mortis returns for it’s second blind bag assortment! Standing 3″ tall, the hand sculpted and cast resin piece has been produced in a total of 6 different color variants. Packed in a “blind” foil bag, these little guys have been priced at just $11 a piece.

Metalhead Blind Anarchy// Joining R.Mortis, Daniel’s latest Playmobil-style custom, the gritty Metalhead, has also received the mystery blind bag treatment! Standing at 3″ tall, the hand cast static resin figure comes in 6 different finishes. Again, packed in a “blind” foil bag, these come in at just $11 each.

The Footmen “Neon Tribes” and “Super Set”- One of our favourite releases from Daniel in a while, these awesome custom Playmobil figures takes direct inspiration from the 1989 TMNT cartoon’s Foot Soldier minions – more accurately the Playmate action figure interpretations – featuring the same instantly recognisable hooded ninja design, albeit with Daniel’s super-fine attention to form and texture. Produced in a total of 6 different neon colorways and coming with neo magnet articulation, these 3″ resins are available blind bagged for just $13, or as a 7 piece “Super Set” for $80- coming with an extra “shadow” Footman and retro mutagen canister exclusive to the bundle!

Gourd-like “OG” and “GID”// Rising from the depths, he’s harder than hardcore, he’s Gourd-like! The latest Playmobil-style custom figure from Daniel, the rather festive Gourd-like features the same punk body as Metalhead, albeit with a new Jack ‘O Lantern head. Available in a standard mixed part black/orange for just $13, a GID version with hand painted detailing is also up for grabs at $16…
