MAN-E-NEWS// The Superfestival exclusive Bloody Sametan from Comet Debris…

With Superfestival 65 just around the corner, Koji Harmon over at Comet Debris has just revealed the first of a number of exclusives he’ll have on offer, proudly presenting the Bloody Sametan! Cast in a mix of silver and light green soft vinyl, the 4″ figure has been decked out in a number of black, yellow and gold masked sprays, finished off with an ample blood splatter around the mouth. Priced at just 4,000yen ($39) each, the Bloody Sametans will be available exclusively at the Bad News Rad Uncles booth this Sunday, April 27th…

MAN-E-NEWS// Triplikid’s Micro Mirth figure revealed…

With the previously revealed Mirth mini figure heading into production as we speak, Triplikid has just revealed an even more impressive prototype of the adorable character, a tiny micro-sized version! Designed by Triplikid and digitally sculpted by the guys at Mana Studios, the little guy originally debuting at NYCC last year as a full sized resin figure, with this new addition being shrunk down to a gumball scaled 20mm tall. Due to be produced by an undisclosed source (fingers crossed for rubber!), we’re told to expect Micro Mirth in the Triplikid store soon after the release of the mini… Stay tuned for full release details on both as soon as we get them!


MAN-E-NEWS// The Mitari/Gargamel exclusive Chopper Manzilla from Nama Niku x Eric Nilla…

Joining the previously featured Pachi Man Keshi, Nama Niku are proud to reveal yet another exclusive they’ll have on offer at the Mitari/Gargamel Superfestival booth next weekend, Chopper Manzilla! Originally making a limited appearance earlier in the year for Clutter’s (In)Action Figure 2 show, the 3″ tall articulated rubbery beast returns, coming cast in a variety of one-off colour combinations courtesy of Eric Nilla. Word on pricing and edition size is still to be confirmed, so be sure to stay tuned for full details (including, hopefully, and online release) soon…

couchlocklow_original Swiftly following the release of the NO GUTS, NO GLORY! slingshot earlier in the month, Ratking over at The PBKs is proud to reveal the collective’s next project, the Bammer Budski mini figures! Comprising of 2 little smoking buddies, an adorable Kush nugget and an equally as cute stoner sloth, the 2″ pieces were designed and sculpted by Ratking, coming cast in a variety of mixed one-off resin colourways including clears, opaques, GIDs and color changers. photo sdfsd3 Having just revealed that they will be sharing a booth with the legendary Mitari and Gargamel at Super Festival 65 next weekend, the Nama Niku Wrestling Alliance are proud to present their latest figure, the incredible Pachi Man Keshi! Inspired by Gargamel’s Gacharoid Capsule Head Robots and the early 80′s Gacha Gacha Man Kinkeshi knockoff,  the little guy has been kit-bashed by Nama from a variety of vintage keshi figures, coming complete with a fully removable gacha capsule head with micro figure and insert nestled inside, a custom penny wrestling belt, plus a miniaturised quarter mounted on the back! Going on sale at the event next Sunday, April 27th for an undisclosed sum, stay tuned for word of an online release soon…

We’ll FINALLY be returning to our regular news posts tomorrow (thanks for your patience over the last few days guys!), but first we bring you a mini report on the hottest new toy joint in the UK… Walthamstow’s Toy Shack! Brainchild of Triclops Studio‘s Luc and Rob Clops, the incredible space recently opened it’s doors at the Wood Street Indoor Market in North London, catering to both children and adults alike with one of the most impressive collections of 80s/90s/00s classics and obscurities we’ve ever had the luck to stumble across.

Featuring the likes of iconic gross-out lines Toxic Crusaders, Food Fighters and Madballs, rare knock-offs including the Sungold Monsters and Pocket Beasts, sought after minis such as Wrestlers In My Pocket, Mini Boglins and Body Wars, plus a number of the guys’ own products from their illustrious time in the industry, the mesmerising shop offers a fascinating insight into the Triclops aesthetic, and more importantly, shows the poor, toy starved kids of today how good things used to be!

Open most weekdays from 10am right through to 5.30pm, anyone in the area with even the remotest interest in the golden age of toys is going to need to take a trip over at some point- and those that aren’t? Ahead of returning to our regular postings next week, we’re proud to reveal a very important event in our store tomorrow… the Tru:Tek/Disarticulator post-ToyCon sale! Featuring all of the figures we’ve revealed throughout the past few days, keshi, glyos and madball fans alike are going to be in their element with the likes of the Tanklopula, Pachi Gacha Machine, and of course the Triclops x Disarticulator “Rip(p)er Red” Rotten Tomato ball all up for grabs… Dropping in the Man-E-Toys store this Monday, April 14th at 8pm London time, we suggest heading over prompt to avoid disappointment as many of these figures will never see another run again!

Sander Dinkgreve over at Flaw Toys is proud to reveal a total of 3 original resin exclusives he’ll be bringing along to ToyCon UK this Saturday, April 12th! Joining both the return of the Strangers in a number of one-off clear finishes, plus a fresh batch of marbled Stranger Minis, the artist will be unveiling an all-new collaborative figure with digital sculptor Tim Sprangers, simply titled Project Unknown. Designed by Sprangers and moulded, cast and painted by Dinkgreve, the stunning resin piece will be up for grabs at the Flaw Toys booth (#11), with a number of one-off customs available. MAN-E-NEWS// The ToyCon UK exclusive Sametan from Comet Debris…

We thought yesterday’s reveal of Zagoran and Kappa Kid was the last of Comet Debris exclusives for ToyCon UK, but we were wrong… as CD’s Koji Harmon presents YET another figure, the Blue/Purple Sametan! Produced in a mix of light blue and purple soft vinyl, the 4″ figure has been treated to white, black, red, blue and gold sprays. Limited to an edition of just 10, these will be up for grabs at the Comet Debris ToyCon booth (#41) this Saturday, April 12th for just £30 each…

Saving the best till last, Koji Harmon over at Comet Debris proudly presents the final 2 figures he’ll be bringing along to ToyCon UK this Saturday- a Gargamel exclusive and an all-new CD figure! First up we have that gorgeous Zagoran pictured above… Cast in a clear green soft vinyl for the release, the Gargamel produced figure has been treated to a number of metallic purple, gold, pink and black sprays courtesy of Comet Debris. Edition size on the beast is still to be revealed, but with it priced at just £55, we’re sure it won’t last long regardless!

Next we have the debut of all-new Comet Debris figure, the Kappa Kid! An adorable infant version of Kappa Shonen, the Kewpie inspired mini figure will be making his first appearance in an unpainted blue glow vinyl for just £20 a pop. Again, edition size is still to be confirmed, so be sure to head over to the booth early to avoid disappointment!

Hot off the heals of the Shadowmen of Ba’Renard release last week, Kyle Kirwan has just revealed details of the fourth figure in the ongoing Mudcat series, the mischievous Yohlo Mesh! Standing at around 2.25″ tall and coming with articulation in the neck, the hand sculpt and cast resin figure will be making his debut in a cool purple colorway alongside a super-limited grey-scale version too. Limited to an edition of 50 this time around, Yohlo will be touching down in Kirwan’s store this Tuesday, April 8th for $25 plus shipping…

Joining the slew of exclusive kaiju, sofubi and keshi that’ll be up for grabs at the Rampage Toys x Disarticulators ToyCon UK booth next Saturday, our very own Tru:Tek is proud to reveal the resurrection of one of the craziest ever resin figures in keshi form… the mighty Tanklopula! The brainchild of Triclops, Jesse Destasio and The Tarantulas, the Rampage sculpted mini figure features signature elements from all 3 artists, including tentacles, a Nibbler chest piece and Tankhead turret- all coming fitted with fully interchangeable, 100% Glyos compatible joints. Originally making a very limited appearance back in 2011, the latest (and most likely final) run has been produced in a urethane rubber courtesy of Tru:Tek, with the batch of 15 each coming in a special one-off colorway inspired by a wide variety of 80s and 90s pop culture. Touching down exclusively at the Rampage/DA booth (#16) come opening time at 9am, Tanklopula has been priced at £35 a piece. Stay tuned for details of online sales, plus AP releases from both Destasio and Triclops soon!

Healeymade has just revealed that his Ghostie mini figure will be returning today for a special “April Fools” edition! Originally debuting at NYCC back in October, the hilarious Dumb Donald/Pac Man mash up has been resurrected in a hand cast clear resin, this time around coming with an absolutely stunning factory-style paint job. Dropping in the Healeymade store at 3pm EST, expect the super-limited run to come in at around $40-$50 each (TBC) plus shipping…

Kyle Kirwan is proud to present the latest additions to the ever-growing Mudcat universe, the creepy Shadowmen of Ba’Renard! Coming in at a mighty 6″ tall, the haunting 3 legged beasts have been hand cast in resin, coming with fully poseable, wire embedded arms. Available in a regular “Red” colorway alongside a one-off “Grey”, the Shadowmen have been limited to a run of 25 this time around, coming in at just $25 each plus shipping. MAN-E-NEWS// Peter Kato’s Bedtime Bunny resin mini figure release details…

Teased here last week, Peter Kato has just revealed that his latest resin creations, the Bedtime Bunnies, will be touching down in-store later this week! Inspired by a recent study into dream influenced illustration, the adorable little guys have been hand sculpt and cast by Peter, with 2 different sizes to choose from; the “Basic” Bunnie, standing at 3″ and coming in at $20 each, and the “Mini” bunnies that are 2.5″ at just $12. Coming in an assortment of mixed Sakura cherryblossom pinks and whites, the limited first run will be touching down in the Peter Kato store this Thursday, April 3rd… Be sure not to sleep on these as they most certainly won’t be around for long!

After a brief hiatus from the scene, custom keshi wonder duo Nama Niku and Eric Nilla are back with quite possibly their greatest mini figure yet, the incredible Pachi Man! A loving tribute to knock off gumball machine toys, the little guy has been kit-bashed by Nama from a variety of vintage keshi figures, coming complete with a fully removable gacha capsule head with micro Claw nestled inside, a custom penny wrestling belt and a miniaturised quarter mounted on the back! Recently posted on IG with the tagline “Coming soon!”, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that Pachi Man makes an appearance in the Nilla store at some point over the coming weeks…

With Spring in the air and Easter just a few weeks away, mini figure maestro Peter Kato has revealed his latest resin creations, the adorable Bedtime Bunnies! Hand sculpted in Peter’s unmistakable style, the little sleepwalking critters have been cast in a mix of white and light pink resins, coming complete with a pair of contrasting bunny slippers. Due to be making their debut in the Peter Kato store at some point next week, expect full release details right here in the next couple of days…

Already seeing a run in white this month, MAD‘s Micro MADL figures have just been unveiled in a gorgeous primary red! Standing at a tiny 35mm tall, the little guys have been individually 3D printed (not resin cast), coming in a highly durable, lo-res ABS plastic. Given some basic cleaning and sanding by MAD, the bagged and headed figures have been priced at just $15 each plus shipping. Interested parties can find them in the MAD store right here alongside a number of the previous editions…

Originally teased here last month, Grizlli Atom aka Gnosis’ awesome Ooze Corpse mini figure will finally be making it’s debut next week!  Looking like a long lost ancient Ooze-It artefact, the pocket sized figure has been produced by none other than MonsterIsland, coming cast in a semi translucent green resin with vintage-style metal hook articulation. Due to be making it’s first appearance at Toy Art Gallery’s “Idol Worship” show alongside works from Brian Flynn, Tim Clarke, Shirahama Toy, Frenzy Bros and Yakimon on April 5th, be sure to keep a close eye on both Grizli and MonsterIsland‘s IG feeds for news on edition size and pricing soon…


MAN-E-NEWS// Uky Daydreamer x Art Junkie’s UD vs AJ sofubi protos revealed…

Uky Daydreamer have revealed that they will be teaming up with Art Junkie for the release of a new sofubi mini set! Little has been revealed about the project so far, but it appears that the 2 masked luchas, “UD vs AJ”, have been designed separately by the pair, with the intention of mixing up both head and body parts for future releases (as shown in the pics above!). Due to be making their debut at Design Fiesta Vol.39 in May, be sure to stay tuned for any further developments as soon as we hear anything…


MAN-E-NEWS// Custom S.U.C.K.L.E mini figures from Topheroy…

Instantly selling out of his original batch of custom S.U.C.K.L.E figures a few weeks back (quicker than we could post them!), Topheroy has bowed to requests of fans with not one, not two, but five full sets this time around- a whopping total of 90 mini figures! Opting for the Kickstarter exclusive “Clear” as platform of choice, the huge round of customs feature all 15 figures from the original KS campaign, with each coming decked out in a tight selection of Monster Kolor sprays and hand painted detailing. Due to go on sale blind-bagged for an undisclosed sum, expect the figures in the Customantics store this Thursday, March 27th at 8pm EST…

Celebrating the launch of his long awaited online store this week, Chris Ryniak will be debuting an all-new mini critter, the Bugbite! Standing at around 2.5″ tall, the adorable little creatures are due to come cast in a variety of different resin finishes including clears, opaques, glitters and even a few hand paints thrown into the mix. Going on sale at the store‘s grand opening this Tuesday, March 25th at 2pm EST alongside a whole slew of other exclusive Ryniak figures, the Bubites will be sold blind bagged for just $18 each plus shipping…

Designed by Triplikid and digitally sculpted by the guys at Mana Studios, the little guy originally debuting at NYCC last year as a full sized resin figure, with this new addition being shrunk down to a M.U.S.C.L.E scaled 2.5″ tall.
