MAN-E-NEWS// The Superfestival 68 exclusive “Rotten-X’ from Rampage Toys…

As per usual, Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt has revealed that he’ll be going all out for Superfestival 68 next weekend, bringing along a whole heap of original sofubi, painted micro-runs and one-off custom releases- the first of which coming in the form of these drop-dead gorgeous Rotten-X’s! Featuring the Triclops designed/Zectron sculpted “Rotten Tomato” ball as a head, the b-movie “X” body figure has been jointly produced by Rampage Toys and Skull Head Butt, standing at around 9″ tall and coming with 5 points of articulation. Once again produced in a milky soft vinyl infused with red glitter, the piece has been treated to layers of Hawaii-style pink, gold, metallic teal and green sprays with numerous hand painted details. Available at the Rampage Toys booth (#a13) alongside a ton of other soon-to-be-released goodies next Sunday, April 26th, any leftover will be heading to the Rampage online store the following day… Look out for details on a special ToyCon UK exclusive variant early next week!


MAN-E-NEWS// Max Toy Co’s “Kaiju Kinora”, “Kaiju Nemuke” and “Ultimate Saikobi” revealed…

Following the success of Teresa Chiba’s Kibunadon, Mark Nagata over at Max Toy Co has revealed that another 2 designs from last year’s Kaiju Gals competition have made the transition into soft vinyl and will be up for grabs soon! Featuring “Kaiju Kinora” (the Mushroom Monster) from Kaori Hinata and “Kaiju Nemuke” from Hikari Bambi, the pair have been sculpted by none other than Makino-san of TTToys, coming in-scale with previous “Monster Boogie” figures at around 3″ tall. Pictured here in a stunning green soft vinyl, we can only assume that the duo will be debuting in this color at Superfestival 68 next Sunday, April 26th. But that’s not all… One of the original “Monster Boogie” figures, Saikobi, is set to return in upscaled “Ultimate” form! Designed and sculpted by Pico Pico, the incredible mid-large size kaiju features a similar half-mecha style to the recently released Kumaborg- albeit on a much larger scale! Pictured here as a finished clay proto, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a release over the next couple of months…

Having seen extremely limited appearances at the tail end of last year, the highly anticipated collaboration between heavyweights Paul Kaiju and Mutant Vinyl Hardcore – the Sludge Kraken DX – is finally set to receive it’s first general release this weekend! Featuring the standard MVH DX body with Paul Kaiju’s all-new “Kraken” head sculpt, the 8″ tall figure has been produced in a gorgeous baby pink soft vinyl with magenta rubs and metallic sprays. Up for grabs at just $130 plus shipping, anyone looking to bag the figure is going to need to fill out the dedicated raffle form that’ll be appearing on PK’s site (click the “Raffle Open” tab on the front page) this Sunday, April 19th at Noon PST. Following the success of the “Freddy/Patient Zero” Shikabane Kaiju micro-run back in August of last year, Mutant Vinyl Hardcore‘s Rich Montanari Jr has revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Blood Guts Toys once again for an all-new “Cyclops” Shikabane head sculpt! Pictured here in the early stages of clay prototyping, the stunning oversized design borrows a number of elements from previous MVH releases, including long time favourites Ollie and the DX Sludge Demon. Due to feature a ton of other design elements and refinements before completion – including ears, a horn and spiked collar – be sure to keep a close eye on the MVH Instagram feed here for more on this already must-have figure soon…

We don’t seem to feature too many privately commissioned customs on Man-E-Toys these days, but upon seeing the latest work from Japanese artists Le Kuo and Gusion M, we simply couldn’t resist… presenting their incredible “Freddy Krueger” Longneck Moon Maijin! Garnering a huge amount of attention recently for their miniaturised apparel-based customs, the pair’s latest, Nightmare on Elm Street-inspired piece follows a similar approach, featuring a hand sewn red and black striped jumper, spiked glove and leather fedora over the top of a gore-soaked flesh and black paint app. Whilst unfortunately already in the hands of one seriously lucky collector, anyone interested in bagging a similar piece can hit the guys up at vicious0310@gmail.com with their enquiries…

Joining the slew of previously posted Skull Head Butt and Roughneck:7 exclusives that Kaijumonster will have up for grabs at ToyCon UK ’15 in just a couple of weeks time, the toy blogger-come-gallery curator has revealed yet another pair of exclusives in the form of the stunning Elegab “Hedogon” and “Kouzira” one-offs you see above! Produced in contrasting clear blue and bright green soft vinyl, the duo have been painted up in Elegab’s signature mix of neon and metallic sprays, coming signed and numbered 1/1 by the artist on the base. Touching down at the Kaijumonster booth (#29) on Saturday, April 25th alongside a whole host of other kaiju and sofubi exclusives, pricing for the pair will unfortunately be kept close-guarded until the day of the event…

As if the last few remaining “Ugly Club” slots weren’t enough, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has unexpectedly dropped a whole barrage of other goodies in his online store this morning! Whilst a number of big ticket items have already gone – a stunning Cadaver Kid, Usir and Diggler set and a batch of Krotpong’s Homunculords, amongst others – remaining items left include runs of unpainted “Squeaky” Lab Mice in Ooze-It green and gunmetal for $41 per set, plus the Skull Head Butt figures you see below (Mars-X, Gorillinator and Bio-X) for just $100 each. Hot on the heals of the recent “Black” micro-run, Shigeo Endo over at Bukimi Blasters is proud to present his latest Evil Demon release, the “Burning” edition! Produced in a blind-bagged mix of either blue or pink soft vinyl this time around, the 5.5″ figures have been treated to a mix of neon and metallic sprays, complete with hand threaded, multi-colored hair, Mr Raw Head omake and special header/stickers designed by Matt Blak. “The Titan of Toxic Terror menaces the Earth once again! Quake in fear at the Molten Magma Fossilla…”

The guys over at Super7 are proud to reveal the first of many exclusives they’ll have up for grabs at Anaheim’s WonderCon this weekend, presenting the “Molten Magma” Fossilla! Designed and sculpted by S7’s Josh Herbolsheimer, the lumbering decaying dino has been cast in Lava-Red vinyl with glossy sprays of maroon, black, metallic purple and metallic blue. Up for grabs in limited numbers at the S7 booth (#1639) for an undisclosed sum, we presume that any leftovers will likely make an appearance in the Super7 store soon after…


MAN-E-NEWS// The “Joker” Gero and Tesaki omake from SLAVExONE x Unaffiliated SJ…

Adam T aka SLAVExONE has just revealed that he’ll have a new Joker-inspired Gero micro-run dropping soon! Produced in a lavender colored soft vinyl, treated to a mix of authentic white, red and yellow sprays and finished with a green dolls eye insert and neck tie, expect the super-limited run to make its way into the SLAVExONE store soon… But that’s not all! Teaming up with Unaffiliated SJ, Adam will also be offering up a special omake mini figure as part of the release! Dubbed “Tesaki”, the 2-part, yokai-inspired piece has been hand sculpted by Unaffiliated SJ, presumably coming cast in resin ahead of a soft vinyl release later in the year. Be sure to stay tuned for more news on both the “Joker” Gero and Tesaki mini as soon as we hear anything…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Dokuro King” Krawluss from Mutant Vinyl Hardcore…

It’s taken almost a year and a half since it’s debut, but Mutant Vinyl Hardcore‘s collaborative figure with Skinner, the mighty Krawluss, has finally seen it’s first online lottery release directly through MVH! Dubbed the “Dokuro King” edition – a homage to the classic toy of the same name – the monstrous 13″ tall figure had been produced in a lavender colored soft vinyl this time, complete with grey sprays, black rub and red, metallic purple and silver detailing. Currently up for grabs via the usual lottery system on the MVH site right here, coming in at $200 plus shipping, close has been set at 11.59pm Eastern time tonight (4/1), so be sure to head on over and get your entry in quick!

After months on the drawing board, the debut sofubi from Canada-based toy artist Monsterfoot Creations – the awesome Skull Boy – is now looking to get funded via it’s very own Kickstarter campaign! Standing at around 8″ tall and coming with articulation in the head, arms and waste, the neo-kaiju style figure is due to come cast in a standard, unspecified colorway as well as a limited, Kickstarter exclusive GID. Currently up for grabs with a variety of different pledge tiers available – ranging from $60 for the basic figure, $75 for an additional “Super Battle” head, and $200 for a custom hand paint from a selection of top artists – Skullboy will be available through his dedicated campaign page right here until close on Friday, May 15th…

Whilst he unfortunately won’t be attending the event this year, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has revealed that he’ll have a whole slew of exclusive pieces up for grabs at ToyCon UK next month! Joining a limited micro-run of Rotten-X’s inspired by a certain “organic” superhero – more on those very soon – Jon will also have the latest round of Cyclops Dinos available in a squishy, “Ooze-It” green soft vinyl that come complete with an awesome new feature for the series- they’re fitted with squeakers! Going on sale at the ToyShack ToyCon booth on Saturday, April 26th alongside a whole host of other goodies from Triclops, The Tarantulas, Ralph Niese and our very own Tru:Tek, expect more reveals and release details closer to the event…

As if the secret batch of “Stealth” Oozeballs revealed earlier in the week weren’t enough, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has been hard at work on yet another hand painted run of the Disarticulators‘ debut sofubi – the Oozeball – proudly presenting the “Frankenruge” edition! Produced in the standard OG super-squishy “Ooze-It” green vinyl, the limited batch of 3 figures have been treated to a paint app inspired by Barom-1’s infamous villain “Frankenruge”, coming with a whole host of white, red and blue sprays and hand painted detailing. Created for Rampage Studios’ impromptu group show with Skull Head Butt and Leo Sofvi Bouya this evening (3/27), any remaining “Frankenruge” Oozeballs will – fingers crossed! – be heading to the Rampage Toys store at some point over the weekend…

Hot on the heals of last week’s micro-run release, Skinner‘s awesome “Morgogg” and “Ogos” sofubi return once more for an exclusive drop through Medicom Toy! Designed by Skinner with sculpting duties taken care of by the hugely talented David Arshawsky– the original sculptor of the ’88 TMNT line and Skinner’s recent Lurker minis – the pair stand at around 13″ tall and feature 6 points of articulation, each coming complete with different head sculpts and matching club accessories. Produced in what appears to be a white soft vinyl for this run, the duo have been treated to a contrasting icy blue and red paint app coutesy of Monsters Stock Farm. Currently available to Japanese customers in the Medicom Toy store right here for just 22,680yen ($191) each, overseas collectors interested in picking up the pair are going to have to try their luck through the dedicated lotteries here and here

It’s quickly coming to the end of yet another month and predictably, we all know what that means- a fresh batch of lottery sales from Elegab! As predicted in our reveal of Tatsumakira just last week, the all-new “natural disaster” monster sees it’s first general release, coming in 2 different colorways for it’s online debut; 1 in a purple soft vinyl with metallic sprays and another in yellow with neon and metallic sprays; both coming in at just 8,000yen ($67) each. Joining the Tatsumakiras, Elegab has also revisited one of our favourite sculpts, the Monster Police Car (MPC). Produced in a stunning clear green vinyl and treated to a neon and metallic paint app, the figure comes complete with a randomly selected “rider” omake for 8,000yen ($67). Making it’s debut at the Osaka Soft Expo over the weekend (check it here), GEEK! x One Up’s Jyujin (Beastman) Omega has just received it’s second release this month as a Medicom Toy exclusive! A follow-up to GEEK!’s original 2013 Jyujin sofubi, the breathtaking piece features a similarly impressive scale, standing at just under 12″ and coming with articulation both in the arms and legs. Produced in what appears to be a light grey soft vinyl and coming with red, white, grey and black sprays, the Medicom exclusive Jyujin Omega is currently available to Japanese customers here for 20,000yen ($169), whilst overseas collectors are going to need to fill out the dedicated form right here
