As promised earlier in the week, we can now bring you details of the debut release on Splurrt‘s new Secretoy imprint, Cinema Monster Alpha! Heavily inspired by the golden age of monster flicks, including both Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed “Galligantua” that graces the iconic cover of 1968′s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook, the lumbering 12″ tall beast has been produced in a green soft vinyl for this “Alpha” release, coming with a mix of vintage inspired black, brown and dark green sprays. Packed with a matching Greek column omake that can be placed in either of the figure’s clenching hands, Cinema Monster Alpha will be touching down in the Splurrt/Secretoy store at Noon Eastern time this Saturday, November 22nd, priced at $150 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Morgogg and Ogos sofubi from Skinner coming soon…

Debuting at Designer Con ’14 a couple of weeks back, Skinner’s latest sofubi, Morgogg “The Whispering Prince” and Ogos “Eye of the World” have finally been slated for an online release soon! Taking on a more traditional kaiju aesthetic than both Sextopigon and Lolgolth Gnazgoroth, the large-size figure has been designed by Skinner with sculpting duties once again handed over to the hugely talented David Arshawsky- the original sculptor of the ’88 TMNT line and Skinner’s recent Lurker minis – with both figures featuring the same body with different heads and matching club accessories. Produced in a “wax” green soft vinyl by none other than Velocitron in Japan, the pair are due to be offered up unpainted for $175 each or just $300 for the set. Having recently been revealed at Design Fiesta 40, Splurrt‘s Cinema Monster will be seeing its first release this weekend in the pictured “Alpha” colorway! Marking the debut of the artist’s new imprint Secretoy, the awesome 12″ tall kaiju has been heavily inspired by the golden age of monster flicks, including both Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed “Galligantua” that graces the iconic cover of 1968′s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook. Produced in a green soft vinyl with a mix of vintage inspired black, brown and dark green sprays, this “Alpha” version is set to come with a matching Greek column omake that can be placed in either of the figure’s clenching hands. Having seen sell-out releases at both NYCC and Designer Con over the past month, Joe Truck Kasher over at Snatchpunch Creature Cartel is proud to reveal that his debut sofubi, the queen of gross known as Bostyrant, will be seeing an exclusive run through Medicom Toy soon! Designed by Joe, sculpted by Grizlli Atom aka GNOSIS and produced by Velocitron, the mid size, 4-part soft vinyl figure comes brimming with gruesome details, including multiple oozing eyes, gaping, stitched flesh and four putrid, witch-like udders- all sprayed up in a stunning multi-metallic paint app conceived by Nebulon5. Set for release at some point in early 2015, we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground for more info on the release soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// Bad Teeth Comics’ huge Mini Cheestroyer sale…

With their online store now filled with a number of long-since sold out releases, the guys over at Bad Teeth Comics have revealed that they will be giving it an overhaul this weekend with a ton of new Mini Cheestroyer runs! Whilst we still can’t confirm what exactly will be on offer, it would appear that at least 6 new editions of the 4.7″ tall figure will be up for grabs, coming hand sprayed on a mix of flesh, clear and GID soft vinyl bases. Likely to be priced at around $40AUS ($35) each plus shipping, the new wave of Mini Cheestroyers will be touching down in the Bad Teeth store tonight (11/14) at 9pm EST…

BLObPUS has teamed up with amigurumi (knitting) artist Dol Roffo for his latest release, the Jellyfish Dokugans! Coming cast in a glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl, the mid-sized kaiju has been treated to subtle pink and blue sprays from BLObPUS, coming complete with a stunning crocheted “jellyfish” head pieces from Roffo. As if news of the Lulubell Toys sale wasn’t enough, Skinner has revealed that he will also be dropping his remaining Designer Con 2014 exclusives in the Critical Hit store at Noon PST today (11/11)! Whilst we’re still unsure as to exactly what will be on offer – we’re hoping for a Morgogg or two ourselves – we can confirm that there will be at least a few of the pictured “BogBat” Ultrus Bogs up for grabs. Produced in a classic Batman grey soft vinyl with a mix of both gloss and matt black/yellow sprays, the mischievous anti-heroes will be available at the specified time right here for $150 each plus shipping…

On display at the Rampage Toys Design Fiesta 40 booth this weekend, the awesome mid-large size kaiju draws inspiration from the golden age of monster flicks, including Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed beast that graces the iconic cover of 1968′s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook. Hopefully set to make it’s debut before the year is out, be sure to stay tuned for more info on this must-have figure as soon as we hear anything…

Joining the previously posted Zinmenken, Greg Rivera over at Mishka has just unveiled yet another must-have exclusive he’ll be bringing along to Designer Con 2014 this weekend, a special Blood Guts Toys x Twerps micro-run of Shikabane Kaiju! Featuring a total of 4 different colorways – each limited to just 2 – utilising both Toxic and Flesh Eater heads, each figure has been hand painted by Blood Guts Toys’ Izumonster in a mix of metallic and neon sprays, coming complete with a single dolls eye insert. Coming packed with header art co-created by both Izumonster and River (aka Twerps), the batch of 8 figures will be up for grabs – presumably via lottery – at the Mishka DCon booth (#208) this weekend for around $250 each…

Not to be outdone by last year’s epic selection showing at Designer Con, Paul Kaiju has revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Rich over at Mutant Vinyl Hardcore for yet another incredible turn out of new figures, painted runs and one-offs! Featuring a new Space Ree, Fungus Boxer Ree, Jinxman, Micro Goons, unpainted Gobocon sets, and our favourite, the double-headed Mockbat customs, releases for all figures will follow a similar template to last time, whereby interested parties will be able to obtain free lottery tickets at the PK x MVH booth (#610) on Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th for drawings across both days. Aside from playing host to works from a number of different artists, SLAVExONE‘s Designer Con 2014 booth (#1130) is set to be full to the brim with micro-runs, one-offs and unpainted releases of his very own Gero creation! For you gys lucky enough to attend the even this weekend (11/8-11/9), we bring you a quick rundown of the different cycloptic beasties that that’l be on offer…

“Early Bird” Unpainted Marble Geros// Limited to a run of just 4 pieces – 2 of which will be offered up at the start of the con on both Saturday and Sunday – these guys come in a stunning tiger stripe-style white and black marbled soft vinyl. Coming packed with custom made tag, the Unpainted Marble Geros have been priced at a super-cheap $25 each.

Gero from the Black Lagoon// A loving tribute to one of horror’s most iconic monsters, this micro-run of 3 Geros feature the webbed arms from Frank Mysterio’s Anticristo 666 figure, coming with a subtle mix of green sprays and black, brown and white brushed detailing. Pricing is still to be confirmed.

The Geronauts// A micro-run created by none other than Hellopike, these Micronauts themed Geros are available in 2 colorways that perfectly mimic the classic 70′s toy line; a trans blue with gold detailing and a clear with metallic teal- both of which have been finished with the all-important chrome head. Limited to just 3 in each color, pricing on these is also still to be confirmed.

Various One-Off Gero Customs// Alongside the 3 main releases, SLAVExONE will also be offering up a selection of one-off customs from a number of different artists from across kaiju and sofubi. Whilst the list of contributors is still to be confirmed, we know that at least Mutant Vinyl Hardcore have contributed a piece, so who knows what else may be in-store! Joining the previously posted Lab Mice mash-ups, Japanese apparel brand Punk Drunkers have just revealed another 2 exclusives they’ll have on offer at Designer Con 2014 this weekend, the PD Riders and White Troopers! Featuring both RealxHead’s adult Chaos Man and Chaos Trooper bodies coupled with the Punk Drunkers mascot head, the Riders have been treated to a plethora of classic metallic/neon sprays and a black neck scarf, whilst the Troopers, a subtle black rub that’s accompanied by an all-black arm attachment. Word on pricing and edition size isn’t likely to be disclosed until the vent, so be sure to make the Punk Drunkers booth your primary target to be in with a chance of bagging these awesome figures!

It’s been a while since we last heard anything from Le Merde and Kiyoka Ikeda’s Misty Fog Toys, so it came with great pleasure over the weekend to find that they’ll be hitting up Designer Con 2014 with an all-new figure… Bronco Willis! Featuring the same arm and leg sculpts as the previously released Mega Junktion, the 9″ tall figure comes with a brand new torso and ape-like head. Due to go on sale at the event this weekend (11/8-11/9), it would appear that a number of one-off mixed part offerings will be up for grabs, each coming complete with an alternate Mega Junktion head plus both light sabre and ray gun accessories. Information on pricing, edition size and booth location are still to be confirmed at present, so be sure to keep a close eye on the Misty Fog Toys blog and Le Merde Instagram feed for more details soon…
