With his Domino Jack run recently  selling out in a matter of seconds, Todd Robertson aka Mechavirus is proud to reveal that he’ll be taking on a whole load more of Paul Kaiju‘s creations as part of a special “Vs” custom Salerno his store this weekend! Due to be split up into 2 “rounds”, the first – happening today (8/28) at Noon Eastern – is set to feature a clear cast King Jinx’ ($400) alongside a run of Unchimen ($250-$300), whilst the second – scheduled for 1pm Eastern on Sunday (8/30) will play host to a Gobo King (TBC) alongside some undisclosed extras… Full shots of a lot of the figures are still to be revealed, so be sure to keep a close eye on the Mechavirus store for the full lowdown over the next few hours…

Hong Kong-based toy outfit Play Studio are proud to announce the debut of their first ever sofubi today, the awesome First Kaiju! Drawing inspiration from some of tokusatsu’s finest beasts, the beautifully sculpted creature has been designed and hand sculpted by the Play Studio team, standing at just under 4.5″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation. Currently available to purchase through the Play Studio store right here, 2 different versions are initially up for grabs; a fully painted version (pictiured), coming in a flesh-tone vinyl with metallic blue, silver and red sprays for $45, and an unpainted black version for just $35. Supplies are said to be limited, so be sure to head on over and pick yours up now to avoid disappointment…

Slave One has just revealed that he’s teaming up with STKL for a special one-off release next month! Whilst details are still thin on the ground at present, it would appear that the drop is set to feature a number of “Uneasy Joe” customs as well mash-ups utilising the “Gero” body, all coming beautifully painted in a plethora of metallic sprays and brushwork courtesy of Slave One’s Adam T. Due to touch down in the Slave One store next Friday, September 4th, be sure to stay tuned for the full lowdown, including drop time, edition sizes and pricing, early next week…

Originally making an appearance as an SDCC ’15 exclusive last month, Lamour Supreme is proud to reveal that he has a limited number of “Red Menace” Mongo-Lion sofubi available right now! Standing at around 6″ tall and featuring articulation in the arms, waist and head, the figure has been produced by Super7 in a bright red soft vinyl this time around, coming complete with a mix of gold, silver, black and pink sprays. Elegab is proud to reveal something a little special for his latest round of lottery sales, introducing all-new figure, the breath-taking Hyouga King! Easily one of our favourite sculpts from the artist to date, the hulking figure stands at around 9″ tall, featuring a tokusatsu-inspired design that blends both organic and angular texture to form the unique looking wooly mammoth/two-headed jaguar mash-up you see above. Hot on the heals of last weekend’s release (check it here), Shigeru Arai of NagNagNag has just revealed that the latest iteration of the elusive “Boryoku Genjin” Nag doll will be seeing yet another release this week with an alternative three-eyed zombie head! Based on the Nag design seen in Shigeru’s recent YouTube claymation (which was sadly taken down as quick as it was put up!), the incredibly detailed figure features an all-new upscaled body, standing at around 12″ tall and coming complete with articulation in the shoulders, elbows, legs and head. Produced in a grey vinyl and treated to the recent release’s mix of light blue, flesh and red sprays, the Three-Eyed Zombie Boryoku Genjin has been limited to just 3 pieces, touching down on the NagNagNag site at Midnight Japan time on Saturday, August 22nd for an undisclosed sum…

Hot on the heals of last month’s “Dump Golem” release, sofubi producers Target Earth are proud to reveal the latest figure in their “Freaks Deathmatch” series, the Lowbrow Golem! Said to be inspired by Marmit’s vintage Para Baby Dustman figure, the hideous creature stands at around 11″ tall, coming complete with articulation in the arms and legs. Produced in a similar green vinyl to the original Dustman release, the figure comes complete with similarly authentic metallic sprays and hand brushed detailing. Fresh from this week’s “Blank Black” release (check it here), Splurrt/Secretoy’s hugely popular Cinema Monster sofubi is set to return as a painted micro-run courtesy of Paul Kaiju soon! Heavily inspired by the golden age of monster flicks – including both Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed “Galligantua” that graces the iconic cover of 1968′s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook – the lumbering 10″ tall beast has been produced in a glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl this time around, coming with layers of metallic sprays and hand brushed detailing courts of PK. Whilst we don’t have any specific release details to announce at present, we’ve been told that these will be available via lottery sales through the PK site over the coming weeks. In celebration of his first year working full time in toys, Mutant Vinyl Hardcore‘s Rich Montanari Jr has just unveiled 2 massive releases he has up for grabs over the next few days! First up, we have the first official ru of Leviathan, the “First Bite” edition. Originally seen as a one-off custom at Rampage Studios’ recent “Clash of the Titans” show, the 13″ tall figure features the MVH Krawluss head with the Berserker Ollie body, this time coming cast in a blue slate colored vinyl with dark grey, metallic blue, silver and copper sprays with unique blood splatters and embellishments. Packed with a whole host of goodies, including a haunted axe, severed head and trident weapons, Berserker sticker, hand painted unique MVH paper with metal rim tag, plus a goodie bag of shark gummy candy. Priced at just $215 plus shipping, anyone interested in a chance at bagging the beast is going to need to fill out the dedicated online lottery form here before close at Midnight Eastern time tonight (8/14)…

Joining the “Test Bite” Leviathan, Rich will be delving into the MVH back catalog for a very special webshop release, the “Jet Black” Sludge Demons! Sittiing at around 4″ tall, the classic figure has been produced in an unpainted black vinyl this time around, coming packed in a net bag with two MVH stickers, one button and a metal rimmed paper MVH hanging tag. Priced at just $65 each, the Sludge Demons will be touching down in the MVH store this coming Sunday, August 16th at Noon Eastern time…

Barry Williams aka Gorgoloid is proud to reveal that he’ll have a total of 3 new releases up for grabs in his online store this week! First up, we have the “Glow in the Dark” Kaiju Avilar run. Standing at around 6″ tall, the hand sculpted bird-beasts have been cast up in a GID resin this time around, coming complete with a variety of Monster Kolor dyes and sprays for $120 each. Next, we have the “Glow in the Dark” Fiji Mermaid. Once again produced in a GID resin, these 3.5″ long figures have been treated to a detail hugging black rub, coming in at just $35 each. Last, but by no means least, we have the Kaiju Chubs one-off. Standing at a super-chunky 5″ tall and featuring articulation in the arms, Chubs comes with a plethora of unique Monster Kolor sprays, brush work and dyes for the princely sum of just $85. Produced in a grey vinyl with stunning light blue, flesh and red sprays, the all-new Boryoku Genjin will be making its debut at an undisclosed location – presumably Mishka Tokyo – at Midnight Japan time this Saturday, August 15th. Limited to just 10 figures, pricing is still to be confirmed…

Hot on the heals of their recent Ultraman collaboration with Playtoy (check out the awesome figure here if you haven’t already), the guys over at Unbox Industries have teamed up with Blackbox for their latest licensed toy based on the classic tokusatsu series, taking on the mighty Baltan! Created as part of Tsuburaya’s ongoing 50th Anniversary event the “Creative Jam 50“, the highly stylised interpretation of the pincered kaiju has been designed by Blackbox’s Katsuya, with digital sculpting and production duties handled by Unbox. Debuting at the Tokyo-based event on Sunday, August 30th for an undisclosed sum, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that a limited supply have been held back for a drop on the Unbox online store soon after…

Having had continued success with his debut sofubi Koninu, Monkey3000 over at Ummikko is proud to unveil a near-finished prototype for his latest vinyl figure! Drawing inspiration from classic tokusatsu characters as well as cult horror flick Dreamscape’s Cobra Man, the figure appears to be around the same scale as Koningu at 5.5″ tall, once again coming complete with articulation in both the arms and waist. Continuing their renaissance in classically styled kaiju, the guys over at Roughneck:7 have just unveiled the latest figure to join their ever-growing line-up of city destroying beasts! Referred to as simply “Him” for the time being, the impressive figure dwarfs the previously released Demushiron, Yabkyrie and Jabara at around 14″ tall, coming complete with 9 points of articulation that can be manipulated to transform the figure into a neat “tank mode” (check it out here). Due to head into production soon, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that “He” makes his debut in soft vinyl at Superfestival in September…

Izumonster over at Blood Guts Toys is the latest artist to take on Slave One‘s Gero sofubi, proudly presenting the “Bloody” micro-run! Limited to an edition of 7 pieces this time around, the 6.5″ tall soft vinyl figures have been treated to a number of unique bloody sprays, rubs and hand painted detailing courtesy of Izu, each coming packed with a custom header and postcard for just 10,000yen ($81) each plus shipping. MAN-E-NEWS// Paul Kaiju’s one-off custom sofubi for Mishka LA revealed…

As promised in our announcement last week, we can now bring you guys a full reveal of the plethora of custom figures Paul Kaiju will have up for grabs at his impromptu Mishka LA show this weekend! Featuring a whole slew of beautifully painted Boss Carions, Kraken DX, Sally Joes, Mock Pilots, Mock Bats and a Gobo King, these will also be joined by a special “Devilman” Mockbat t-shirt that will be up for grabs exclusively at the event. Opening its doors at the LA-based location this coming Saturday, August 8th at 7pm, anyone interested in bagging one of the customs are going to need to turn up an hour before (6pm) to collect a designated purchasing wristband… Here’s hoping some of the shirts make it to the Mishka online store soon after!
