Joining the raft of goodies we’ve already posted for this weekend’s Doki Doki Osaka Sofubi Event, Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys has teamed up with Splurrt for the ”Two Heads are Better than One” Usir/Diggler set! Cast in a blue soft vinyl, each pack contains one full Usir custom and an interchangeable Diggler head, coming dry brushed in a snowy white with lilac/black sprays and metallic hand painted detailing. Due to be going on sale at the event this Sunday, December 1st for 7,000yen (approx. $70) each, any sets left over will be offered up via an online raffle next week…
Currently winging it’s way from Japan to the permanent Man-E-Toys collection, we’re proud to present the latest custom from Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt… the Toxie Bootleg! Inspired by our love of cult 90′s classic, The Toxic Crusaders, the mixed-part Mishka figure has been primed in a detail hugging black, replete with beautifully faded down sprays in the misfit superhero’s signature palette of neon orange, green and blue. Easily one of the most accomplished Bootleg customs we’ve seen to date, we’ll be counting the days until we can finally stick him in the cabinet alongside the rest of our collection! Thanks once again to our good friend Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys, the Disarticulators will be featuring at Design Fiesta next weekend! With a nice sized box making it’s way over to Japan as we speak, the guys decided to focus on just 2 of their most recent pieces, the Madball of Death and Oozeball. Coming in limited numbers of both Rampage exclusive Neon Green and Pink, (with a few extra surprises thrown in for good measure!), both balls will be going on sale at the Rampage Toys booth starting Saturday, November 2nd for around $50 and $25 a piece, with any remaining stock likely to head online the following Monday. Opening it’s doors at the Rampage Studios gallery space today, “Three Guys Walk into a Bar…” is the latest show to be curated by the one and only Jon Malmstedt. Featuring an incredible amount of art and toys from unlikely trio Jeff Lamm, Bwana Spoons and The Galaxy People’s Brian Bunting (plus a few pieces from Jon himself!), we’ve decided to give you guys a quick rundown of what will be up for grabs at the event- Here’s hoping a least a few pieces remain for the online store drop next Monday, October 21st!
Jeff Lamm x Unbox Gummi playsets- Hand sprayed/painted by Rampage, these little guys will be offered up blind bagged via the infamous Rampage gacha machine!
Rampage Sitting Greasebats- the very first painted run of Jeff Lamm x Monster Worships’ mini Greasbat sofubi, the batch has been cast in an orange soft vinyl, with Rampage’s signature mix of neon and metallic VColor sprays.
Real Fighting Greasebats- The latest edition of the original Monster Worship produced Greasebat, these come unpainted in a beautiful black and orange swirled vinyl.
Exclusive Galaxy People vinyl- The trio of vintage pachi-style figures return for quite possibly the best colourways yet! Cast in clear vinyl and filled with contrasting orange and green tinsel, the figures come in either a black/yellow or metallic aqua/gold sprays.
Exclusive Jeff- Bwana Spoons comes with the latest version of his ever popular sofubi! Cast in a black soft vinyl, this run has been sprayed in a mix of teal, yellow and purple sprays.
Bwana customs- Alongside the new Jeff variant, Bwana has also brought along a shed load of one-off customs, including Sleeping Killers, Mini Killers and Globbys.
Rampage customs- Jon will also be bring a whole host of customs along to the event, with fully painted M5 Bravos, Steegars, Galaxy People and even a fresh batch of new GID RAMPAGE Ghouls!
Various artwork- Every artist involved in the show will also be displaying a number of different one-off paintings, illustrations and prints, including a total of 13 stunning ink drawings from Jeff Lamm!
Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys has just revealed that he will have a number of one-off custom Cadaver Kids and Digglers at NYCC later this week! Tackling Splurrt‘s soft vinyl platforms in a way only he knows how, the sofubi minis have been treated to a mix of neon VColor sprays, metallic hand painted detailing and some breathtaking gouache brush work. Making their appearance alongside the previously posted Cadaver Twins, the little guys will be available from the Monster Island booth (#504) on Saturday, October 12th at Noon local time. MAN-E-NEWS// Unpainted black Ugly Unicorns, Cyclops Dinos and the Gachapon Goblins from Rampage Toys…
Revealed here earlier in the week, the first batch of Rampage Toys‘ latest sofubi, the Gachapon Goblins, are now up for preorder! Featuring a total of of 7 1.5″-2″ tall Gachapon-ready figures, the little guys have been designed by Rampage Toys, Joseph Harmon, Walter Parenton (IV – Bobbybeast creator) and Art Junkie, with sculpting duties headed by Jon Malmstedt, Joseph Harmon, and AJ’s official prototyper. Available in an unpainted black soft vinyl as both blind-bagged singles ($10) and as a full set ($70), Rampage are also offering up a strictly limited batch of 5 fully painted sets at just $120 a pop. But that’s not all! Joining the Goblins, the Cyclops Dinos and Ugly Unicorn are also making a special one-off appearance in black vinyl! Available via open preorder, the Dinos are currently up for grabs right here at $35 for the set, whilst the UU is being offered for the super low price of $20 in celebration of it’s 2nd anniversary-has it really been that long?!!
With the likes of Superfestival, NYCC, Design Fiesta and Dcon fast approaching, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has decided it’s about time to reveal his all-new line up of sofubi that’ll be making an appearance… presenting the Gachapin Goblin micros! Consisting of 7 1.5″-2″ tall Gachapon-ready figures, the little critters have been designed by Rampage Toys, Joseph Harmon, Walter Parenton (IV – Bobbybeast creator) and Art Junkie, with sculpting duties headed by Jon, Joseph Harmon, and AJ’s official prototyper. The first figures to be retooled and wax cast in-house at Rampage Studios, metal moulds for sofubi casting are currently being finalised for the first regular release at Superfestival on September 29th.
Those eager to secure an early set will be glad to know that a pre-order for unpainted black versions will be up on the store this Friday, August 23rd. Details are still hazy at the moment, but Jon has stated that the figures will be available for around $10 each, with special incentives for bagging the whole set, including discounts and the possibility of some blind-bag painted versions! After long last, the Rampage Toys H.U.S.T.L.E Artist Proofs will finally be up for grabs over the weekend! First off, we’d like to give a massive apology to our readers for our lack of posts over the last week. What with Cardiff Tattoo & Toy Con over the weekend, and a whole load of casting to be done for a certain Wonder Festival in just a few days, we unfortunately had to put the old girl on the back burner… The good news is that we’ll be back at full steam in the morning with a whole host of new stories, PLUS the all important release details for tomorrow’s post-con drop! Kesh-E-Face// We will be offering up both a restock of the original Rampage exclusive Green variant and a Wonder Festival exclusive marbled blue/red. Standing at 3″ tall and cast in a flexible keshi-style rubber, the loving tribute to all things MOTU comes with the standard 3-faced, fully rotating head. Packed with custom hand cut backers and blister bubbles, both colourways have been limited to 3 pieces each.
Madball of Death (The Deathball)// The fourth edition of our newly released AmToys homage, the MoD has been cast in a Rampage exclusive green w/pink insert. Consisting of 3 parts (2 magnetically joined halves and parasite insert), the figure comes bagged and headed with collaborative artwork from Zectron and Ralph Niese. Limited to just 3 this time around, there are talks of another limited run in the near future.
Cupcake Keshi Plane// Making a secret appearance at Cardiff Tattoo and Toy Con over the weekend, Wonder Festival will see the official release of Rampage Toys‘ latest keshi, the Cupcake Plane! Sculpted by Jon Malmstedt using the Micro Cupcake Kaiju, the adorable little figure has been cast by the Disarticulators in a mix of flesh, red and blue rubber. Limited to just 11 this time around, each comes with interchangeable pilot plus 2 points of articulation.
Elephantos// Designed and sculpted by the one and only turboPISTOLA, Elephantos receives his second exclusive keshi variant in a retina melting marble green/pink colourway! Cast by the Disarticulators in their special blend of super-bouncy rubber, the little guy has been limited to 4 bagged and headed pieces… Expect more news on the general release soon!
Higekami// The master of Beard-Fu makes one last exclusive appearance before his long overdue general release next month, coming in a stunning red/blue Wonder Festival colourway! Cast in a flexible rubber, the 2″ figure comes mounted on a thick, hand cut backer with SNES style insert and Beard Fist badge. These have been limited to 3 pieces.
Sgt. Angus// As with Elephantos, 1Shot Toys‘ leader of the beef battalion makes his second appearance as a Rampage Toys exclusives. Again cast in the standard Rampage green/pink, the little guy has been limited to 3 pieces, each coming complete with die-cut vinyl sticker and cut-out-and-keep card.
H.U.S.T.L.E Artist Series: Wave 1 FULL SET// The first and only time the whole of Wave 1 will be offered up together (barring Spanky Stokes’ FGF!), the full set of 10 figures have been cast in a vivid green and pink rubber. Missed out on the little guys the first time around? Then this is your chance to bag the lot at a single, reduced price!
Weirdos in Space// A huge success upon release last month, the Weirdos in Space, well Cupcake Lucha at least, has made a return! Cast in a Rampage exclusive silver w/ pink pilot, the multi-part rubber figure has been limited to just 4 this time around, with another batch in silver/green to follow next month.
The Critters// Last, but by no means least, Zectron‘s ever popular Critter inspired mini figure will be gracing Wonder Festival with yet another exclusive colourway! Matching both Kesh-E-Face, Higekami and the Cupcake Plane’s, the 1″ minis have been cast in a marble blue/red rubber. Limited to 4, each comes packed with an exclusive header and insert.

Using the blank black NYCC version of Lamour Supreme’s highly sought after sofubi, we decided to stay in keeping with the MOTU vibe by requesting a paint scheme based on our own Kesh-E-Face packaging- a super bright mix of ‘Greyskull’ Green and ‘Snake Mountain’ Purple! Hot off the heels of the Killer Krampuses we posted yesterday, Splurrt has just revealed a trifecta of customs from the mighty BLObPUS for the pair’s upcoming joint show at Rampage Studios this Friday… Featuring the legendary artist’s signature metallic sprays on top of GID soft vinyl, Splurrt’s Cadaver Kid and Usir, alongside Rampage’s Ugly Unicorn have all been treated to some of the best paint jobs we’ve seen to date- truly awesome work! We’re still not sure as to whether these are one-offs pieces, or if they’ll be up for grabs in micro runs (fingers crossed for the latter!), so be sure to stay tuned for the full lowdown after the show’s opening this Friday, July 5th. We’ve been told that the online sale will commence on Monday at 11am Japan time (10pm, Sunday Eastern), so we suggest setting your alarms now to avoid disappointment- believe us when we say, the Rampage store will be CARNAGE!

Based on the infamous horned ‘baby snatcher’ taken from German folklore, the latest run has been cast in a bright green soft vinyl (with a few GID chases), featuring metallic purple and black sprays with yellow, red and white detailing from Jon. Expect to see these guys up in the Rampage Toys store this Saturday, July 6th at 11am Japan time (10pm Friday EST) for an undisclosed sum…
Hot off the heals of the recent B.A.S.T.A.R.D and Tokyo Junkie 5 exhibitions, Jon over at Rampage Toys wastes no time in preparing his next killer sofubi collab… proudly presenting the Rampaging Steregons! Utilising NerdOne’s highly underrated platform, Jon has expertly sprayed the figures up in a style akin to Shegeru’s gruesome NZOMBIES, the skinless beasts coming in a mixture of fleshy reds, pinks, black and white. Limited to an edition of 6, the 6.5″ tall figures will be touching down in the Rampage Studios store on June 14th for around $120 plus shipping. Utilising Tru:Tek’s recently released Bio-Drone ship sculpt, the ongoing series is set to feature a number of different ‘mini pilots’ from some of the art toy scene’s finest, the first coming in the form of Rampage Toy‘s Cupcake Lucha and Blurble‘s Gusto. Hand cast by Tru:Tek in a flexible keshi-style rubber, the 4-part figures will be available in a multitude of randomly assorted, one-off colour combinations (including the all important solid flesh!), coming bagged and headed for just $24 plus shipping. Limited to just 10 of each design, expect the little weirdos to hit the Man-E-Toys store this Friday, May 31st at 9pm London time…

Some of the first customs we’ve seen using the highly underrated sofubi, Jon has gone to town on 6- utilising a number of ingenius fades, rubs and hand brushed techniques with all 3 original colourways (flesh, blue and purple). Making an appearance at Design Fiesta over the weekend, Jon over at Rampage Toys has managed to secure a batch of the latest mini figures from Japanese capsule toy artist Konosuke Chishma, the uber-cute Animal People! Standing at a micro-sized 1″ of hand cast resin, the series features 5 different sculpts; Shark, Octopus, Bear, Koala and Chicken. Produced in a number of randomly assorted colours (including the all important flesh tone!), the little guys have first been offered up to Rampage newsletter subscribers for just $8 each, with any remaining stock hitting the Rampage store alongside a whole host of other Design Fiesta goodies later in the week. Here’s hoping we see more from Konosuke soon!
We brought you a guys comprehensive guide to the Rampage Toys Design Fiesta exclusives last week, but there was one figure in particular that we weren’t able to reveal in full at the time… Well the wait is over, as Rampage’s Jon Malmstedt proudly presnts the ‘Neon Golden’ Deadbeats! Tackling Scott Tolleson’s ridiculously popular figure with ease, Jon has sprayed the clear cast soft vinyl piece in a mixture of neons and metallics, finishing up with some nerve-rackingly tight hand painted details. No news with regards to edition size on these, but John has mentioned that any remaining stock from the show will be heading to the online shop on Saturday evening (May 18th) Japan time (around 6am EST)… Check out our previous post here for the full list of DF 37 exclusives!
With the hotly tipped B.A.S.T.A.R.D x Rampage Show open it’s doors at Tokyo’s Rampage Studios next week, Triclops have revealed not 1, not 2, but 3 awesome new mini figures for the event! Joining the previously teased Catfighter from Rampage’s Jon Malmstedt, the guys will be dropping the hilarious Tex Hex alongside one of our favourite entries into the long running series yet- the Gundam inspired God Dam! Available alongside a number of figures from the last wave of B.A.S.T.A.R.Ds (check them out here), the custom bootleg minis have been cast in a huge selection of different resin tints, each coming bagged and headed in the new overhauled design… Opening Friday, May 24th, any remaining pieces from the show will be heading to the Rampage store soon after. Opening it’s doors this morning to the usual hordes of sofubi and kaiju fans, the 62nd bi-annual Superfestival played host to one of the biggest showings from Rampage Toys yet, so big in fact that one booth was barely enough to contain the staggering selection of mini figures and sofubi! With a number of collabs, exclusive releases, new blanks and painted runs, we bring you a comprehensive lowdown of what was on offer, and (with a bit of luck!) will be available in the Rampage store next week…
Glyos Micro UU// Featured here on Friday, Superfestival 62 marked the debut of Rampage’s long awaited micro Glyos compatible figure. Cast by Eric Nilla, the 1.5″ piece comes with fully articulated joints. Cast in red/yellow, these guys come packed in a handmade window box.
Rampage Megara// A collaboration with Butcherbrand, these stunning sofubi minis have been cast in GID vinyl coming with Rampage’s signature mix of vivid sprays and tight fades.
‘Cute’ Zou-chan// The latest release from Rampage x Kikkake, the adorable little elephant has been cast in a light blue soft vinyl with blue/purple sprays and black/white detailing.
Blank Ugly Unicorns// Popular as ever, the signature Rampage sofubi has this time been made available in 3 unpainted colours; hot pink, neon orange and blue.
Telephone King// Angel Abby’s Telephone King sofubi mini received the Rampage treatment for the festival, coming in 2 distinct flavours- a metallic rainbow fade and retina burning V-Color neon.
Superfestival Manotaur// The latest painted run of the impressive 8″ beast from Imps & Monsters x Rampage, the beast has been cast in a clear red soft vinyl coming with tight masked black and yellow sprays.
Dino Gacha Gacha// The Dino Cyclops sofubis return for their latest blind bag (capsule!) run, and this time around they’re ALL painted! Featuring all 3 designs, the little guys come in a number of different colourways including a few unique one-offs!
Cakefighter head// Previewed earlier in the week, this Frenzy barbarian compatible head was sculpted by Rampage’s Jon Malmstedt and cast by Eric Nilla in a flexible rubber. Available at the festival sans-body, Jon has hinted at a full painted run in the near future.
Eric Nilla/Nama Niku- various// Both Eric Nilla and Nama Niku once again had strong showings at the Rampage booth, seeing the public debut of Mutant Dungeon Bastard, plus the return of old favourites Muscles of the Universe, SD Rick, Chibi Meatgrinder and Universe of Violence.
Tru:Tek and the Disarticulators- various// Unfortunately due to time restraints we weren’t able to bring anything new to the table for this one, but we did manage to send over a whole host of Critters, Wave 1 H.U.S.T.L.E, Kesh-E-Face, H.O.R.D.E and Beardfist, all in the exclusive Rampage neon pink and green… The festival also saw the debut of the long awaited Rampaging Critters. Cast in resin by Tru:Tek, Zectron’s little guys were painted up by Jon in a beautiful concoction of colours.
Following an insane showing at ToyCon UK earlier in the month (head over here for the full lowdown), the Triclops boys have just revealed that they will be putting on the first B.A.S.T.A.R.D show in Japan next month! To be hosted/curated by Rampage Studios‘ Jon Malmstedt, the exhibition is set to feature a ton of figures from the new series, some collaborations (including the teased B.A.S.T.A.R.D from Rampage Toys above), plus a whole host of surprises… No news as to whether the recently revealed ‘Bullet Belt’ Skinner collab will be making an appearance, but you can be sure as soon as we hear anything you guys will be the first to know…

Created as part of OneUp‘s horse-themed ‘Pandemonium’ group show this weekend, Jon over at Rampage Toys is proud to present his latest sofubi custom, the “Evolved” Ugly Unicorn! Looking like a blown up version of Rampage’s recent H.U.S.T.L.E entry, the Ugly Cenicorn, the incredible 4 legged piece has been fashioned from 2 UU sofubis expertly sculpted together with epoxy. Finished in Jon’s instantly recognisable gouache style using the tradition UU colours of yellow and red, the figure will be up for grabs at the show this Saturday, 23rd February… On top of the UU custom, Jon will also be unveiling a super-limited batch of Ugly Horseycon H.U.S.T.L.E’s, so be sure to stay tuned for an exclusive reveal tomorrow!
