NLL_AD

Coming just in time for TMNT’s 30th Anniversary (and the release of a certain movie we can’t bring ourselves to mention here!), Goodleg Toys have teamed up with UK artist RICHT and the guys from Streets of Beige for the release of an all new resin action figure…  Nobody Likes Leonardo! Heralded as the most toxic Turtles bootleg the world has ever seen, the wonderfully hideous creation has been kit-bashed from a Mexican 5.5″ Lucha and a Polish TMNT bootleg, coming hand casted in translucent neon-green resin, with 4 points of articulation, a sword, and packaging designed by RICHT. Word on an exact release date is still scarce at the moment, so be sure to keep following Goodleg ToysRICHT, and Streets of Beige for more news soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Rotten Tomato Ball from Triclops Studio x The Disarticulators…

tommy blog

With just one day until the big event, the Disarticulators have teamed up with the fine chaps over at Triclops Studio to present their final ToyCon UK exclusive, the Rotten Tomato Ball! Designed by Triclops, sculpted by Zectron and produced in a urethane rubber by Tru:Tek, the 3″ round figure has been inspired by Dr Gangreen’s killer fruit (or is that vegetable?!), drawing influences from neo-kaiju, the gross-out art of the 80′s and AMToys’ iconic Madball figures to realise the hideous beast you see above… Debuting at ToyCon in both “Rip(p)er Red” and “Green Meanie” colourways (including 2 one-off extra rotten chases!) priced at £45 a piece, these will also be joined by a number of one-off casts and Rampage handpaints that will be revealed on the day. Touching down at both Rampage Toys x Disarticulator and Tarantulas’ booths come opening time tomorrow, expect details of online sales to follow next week…

MAN-E-XCLUSIVE// Dr Gangreen’s Killer Tomato Ball from Triclops x The Disarticulators teased…

tomato teaser

Returning from the depths of obscurity nearly 30 years since the Great Tomato War, the evil Dr P.T.Gangreen has enlisted the twisted minds of both Triclops and The Disarticulators to realise his most disturbing creation yet… the Killer Tomato Ball! Currently undergoing cloning for a full-scale invasion at ToyCon UK in April, the attached image is all we have to go on at present, but judging by the size of those teeth and the dead look in that eye, only the most dedicated toy collector should even attempt to go near these crazed fruit (or is it vegetable?!) based creatures… Expect more news from the doctor as we all near our impending doom on April 12th!

MAN-E-REPORT// Velocitron Wonderfestival booth recap…

hinoig 2

Securing yet another one day license at Wonderfestival to produce official Hino Hideshi inspired sofubi, it was no wonder that Ricky Wilson aka Velocitron‘s booth was one of the first on our agenda last Sunday! Seeing the re-issue of Hell Girl, the poor child was joined by fellow Hell Baby character Gaki, alongside one of our favourite Hino creations, Guts Baby from Beserk. Hand sculpt, produced, painted, and, for the first time, jointed by Ricky himself, the latest additions more than lived up to the strong first release… Joined by a whole slew of other Velocitron figures including blue glow Nilborgs, Harbingers and Warlords, plus the unveiling of an all-new Cthulhu sculpt (of which we’re told to expect more of at FOE next month), the booth certainly ended up being one of our favourites of the day…

MAN-E-REPORT// Nerdone Wonderfestival booth recap (and the M.O.T.U.L.O.S sofubi)…

nerdone

With the hype surrounding the release of the M.O.T.U.L.O.S sofubi reaching fever pitch last week, it came as no surprise to find the Paralyzing Toys Wonderfestival booth swamped upon Nerdone‘s arrival early afternoon. Bringing along a selection of past figures, including a new mini run of Tarman bootlegs plus a new batch of Steregon keshi, the real star of the show was of course the aforementioned tiny green castle. Drawing inspiration from both Neclos Fortress and MOTU, the 3.5″ tall piece had been cast in mint green similar to the original Castle Greyskull playset, complete with subtle dark green/brown sprays and silver hand painted detailing… But that wasn’t all! Taking the recent Tarman sofubi/rubber concept one step further, the figure also played host to an original MOTU/Neclos inspired keshi, PLUS a mini missile shooter to topple the little guy off the castle! Easily stored in the underside, these 2 extra additions really did help to make M.O.T.U.L.O.S one of the funnest releases we saw at the event- and at just 4,200yen ($41), it was one of the biggest bargains of the day too! Unfortunately limited to just 15 pieces this time around, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a bigger release soon…
