Rampage Studios Opening and Show, January 25th 2013 Featuring new works from The Disarticulators, Peter Kato, Nama Niku, Eric Nilla, Art Junkie and HellopikeMAN-E-NEWS// 7 Seals final reveal from Menace Inc Studios…
With the 7 Seals resin series poised for imminent release tonight (check out our past coverage here), Jeff Beck over at Menace Inc Studios is proud to reveal the final 7 figures and golden ticket prize that will be up for grabs… Featuring an awesome selection of resins from some of the scene’s finest (plus our very own Tru:Tek!), each has been inspired by one of the 7 Seals of the Apocalypse. Tru:Tek’s entry, the golden ticket prize, took inspiration from the 7-eyed lamb beast that was said to be the only creature that could open the seals. Opting for a ring design (which proved nigh on impossible to cast!), the piece was produced in a stone grey urethane rubber with a black acrylic rub finish. 3 of these, along with a mini print, will be offered up to purchasers of the randomly allocated golden ticket boxes…
As mentioned in our previous posts, Jeff will be kicking proceedings off tonight (December 20th) with a launch party at the Geeksboro Coffeehouse and Cinema from 8pm-Midnight. Featuring free giveaways all night, an extra special giveaway at midnight to usher in the Mayan prediction of the end of the world, and of course, the 7 Seals release itself, Jeff will be putting any remaining stock up in the Menace Inc store this weekend for anyone who unfortunately can’t make the event…
MAN-E-NEWS// 7 Seals ‘Death Seal’ reveal from Menace Inc Studios…
Jeff Beck over at Menace Inc Studios has just revealed his contribution to the 7 Seals resin series (find out more here) in all it’s glory, Seal #4: Death… Standing at around 4″ tall with scythe, the beautifully sculpted piece has been cast in resin with an iron coating applied which Jeff then used a special technique on which rapidly rusted the metal to create the glorious effect you see above. Along with an as-yet-unrevealed chase figure (1/7), Jeff has also created a special one-off of Death that will be available at the series launch as part of a whole host of giveaways throughout the night… As an added bonus, we can exclusively reveal the ’7-Eyed Lamb-Beast’ rings our very own Tru:Tek will be offering up as the ‘golden ticket’ prizes! Cast in a stone grey urethane rubber and finished with a black acrylic rub, the ‘one-size-fits-all’ pieces will be winging their way to 3 lucky purchasers of the 7 Seals along with a mini-print designed by Tru:Tek…

Alexis Rivera – Seal 1 The Antichrist / The Conqueror Chis Moore (We Become Monsters)– Seal 2 WARMAN-E-XCLUSIVE// H.U.S.T.L.E Artist Series 1 update…
Following the first announcement a couple of weeks back (check it out here), we’re pleased to reveal that our H.U.S.T.L.E Artist Series has been moving along at lightening pace, and whilst we have a whole lot of details that unfortunately have to remain secret at the moment, we’re more than happy to share the latest round of work in progress shots… Pictured above, Mekamess is the first of 2 customs the mighty Nama-Niku will be contributing to the series. A follow up to the hugely popular Manzilla (check him out here), the incredible piece features the head/back of Mecha Godzilla this time around, coming with a suitably MOTU styled barbarian body and kit-bashed sword. Currently winging his way to the Man-E-Toys studio as we speak, expect test shots by the end of next week…
Originally featuring in our initial reveal, Hungry Imp‘s aptly titled Ray Skull has had a full makeover since we last saw him, ditching the rather scrawny appearance for a more M.U.S.C.L.E inspired stance and body shape. Whilst we do miss the realistic approach, this new iteration is far more in-keeping with the original 80′s minifigure aesthetic, and looks damn awesome to boot! Yet another figure we’re dying to let loose upon in the studio…
Yet another design that featured in our first reveal, Brutherford Industries‘ Hordak inspired bat figure has now been finalised, with a selection of 3D prints currently on their way to the UK. Now coming with the awesome title “Hungry Hungry Hordak”, the rotund beast has got to be one of our favourite entries yet… again, expect test shots soon! Last but by no means least, we bring you one of our most anticipated figure designs, the Seedling Warrior from Taylored Curiosities… Featuring TC’s signature micro resin character (with what appears to be the eyes of a Monster Embryo!), the custom is due to come with the obligatory Seedling sprout and leaves- although it’s still undecided as to whether these will come in felt or rubber… A rubber mini/plush mash-up would definitely be a first!
Stay tuned for more info, WIP pics and test shots over the coming weeks… Can’t wait for your H.U.S.T.L.E fix? Then be sure to keep track of the dedicated Tumblr blog for the latest developments…

Jeff has gone all out on the design of these, with each seal printed in 18k gold vinyl… Here’s hoping you don’t actually have to give them back to receive the prize! Joining the “Golden Seal”, Jeff has also kindly sent the very first image of the standard seals that will adorn each box. 3D sculpted by Alexis Rivera of Playful Gorilla, the resin seals will be fully removable and can reused as a rather swanky key chain! Stay tuned for the first batch of WIP sculpt shots next week…

Been wondering why our posting has got a little slack over the past few days? Well there is a very good reason dear readers, as this official press release should hopefully explain…
“In association with Bigmantoys and art toy blog Man-E-Toys, the Amazing Zectron aka Plastic Soul is proud to present the second wave of Critters inspired mini figures! (Check out our previous Critters coverage here) Originally produced in extremely limited numbers by Eric Nilla and sold solely through the Little Rubber Guys forum, the latest batch of Zectron’s debut toy (yep, his first toy sculpt ever!) will be coming in two distinct flavours; an authentic keshi-style rubber variant that has been produced by Tru:Tek over at Man-E-Toys, and a resin version from Lee over at Bigmantoys for the art toy purists… Both taking a wildly different approach in aesthetic (Tru:Tek has gone for a mixture of solid and marbled neons, whilst Lee has focused on “Graff-Eaty” hand paints, glossed clears, glitters, GITD and opaques- BOTH have also produced traditional flesh tones), there truly is something for every lover of retro mini-figs, art toys and cult horror!
Due to go on sale this Friday (24th August) at 9pm London time (1pm Pacific), the rubber edition will be available through the Man-E-Toys store for $15 (blind-bagged neons and flesh tone options available), whilst the resins will be hitting the Bigmantoys store (and October Toys forum) for $13 (various colour choices available). Both coming bagged and headed with a hand drawn design from Zectron, each and every purchase will also include a very special “safety booklet” on how to look after (and avoid getting eaten by) your very own Crite! (file attached) On top of that, Bigmantoys’ resin editions are also due to come housed in custom created egg packaging, sprayed in the same neon green and pink as the original film!”
Dimensions: 1.5″ x 1.5″
Edition sizes: Open run (Neon Marbled limited to 16)
Bagged, headed, with insert.
Made in the UK!
Head over to the Amazing Zectron or Bigmantoys blogs for more information/photos (we will also be posting a gallery of our own on Thursday), and expect more Critters inspired designs soon! Regular readers will also be glad to know that our regular toy coverage will resume again tomorrow…
