A near-perfect rendition of the iconic cycloptic mammal in soft vinyl, the figure appears to be roughly the same scale as Aggar (around 9″ tall), coming with articulation in all 4 legs and both tusks. Release details on the figure are still to be confirmed at present, but with a successful test-shot in place, we’re guessing we should only have another month or 2 to wait…

The mysterious island URUNGATUNGA! Their destiny… They had anchored near the coast, and had left the ship for the shore. And as they got nearer, they saw it was covered with limbs. Heads, arms, legs, bodies everywhere. Something evil inhabitated this island. And still, there was no way back. Blackweird felt he was drawn towards the very core of something, towards an abyss that he couldn’t escape. He knew this to be the answer to all his questions. The reason of his existence… As they were leaving the rowboat, an abominable moan shook the earth. Something was trampling, screaming, rampaging. And it was coming nearer. Then it appeared…

Initially starting out as a sketch and quickly progressing to digital form via 3Ds Max, the sleek 2-part design has been created primarily as a platform for customisation, drawing inspiration from the likes of Ferg’s “Sqube” and MAD’s MADL to form a subtly interesting yet neutral enough canvas for artists to work with. Produced by our very own Tru:Tek over at the Disart ToyLabs, an initial run of 25 blank DIY versions have been created for a custom show to be held at ToyCon ’15. Finished entries will need to be sent over to bohnaskully@blue-frog.co.uk by the close date of October 10th, at which point 3 designs will be chosen – one from each of the guys – and then be put up for public vote through The Toy Chronicle. The winner will have the chance to render their design in 3D on the platform, as well as have it displayed alongside the following artists at the con next April-
