Gorgoloid are proud to reveal that they’ve just unleashed 2 all-new figure in their online store! First up, we have the grotesque looking Kaiju Chubs… Standing at a monstrous 5” tall and weighing in at an impressive 260g of solid resin, the stunning hand crafted piece has been dyed and sprayed with layers of Monster Kolor paint, coming complete with custom glass eyes and 2 points of articulation for just $75… Next, we have the debut of Gorgoloid’s latest mini-kaiju, the Kappas! A gorgeous take on the classic Japanese yokai, the little guy has been hand sculpt and cast in resin, coming in a choice of unpainted mint, teal, white, blue and pink resin for just $20 a piece. MAN-E-NEWS// G.R.U.P Design’s Rimey “Kenth Toy Works” edition…

G.R.U.P Design’s awesome sofubi debut, the adorable Rimey, has just received it’s latest colorway courtesy of Kenth Toy WorksBased on G.R.U.P’s signature mummy character, the 4″ figure was actually sculpted by Kenth, coming in at around 4″ tall with articulation in the neck and arm. Produced in an undisclosed color soft vinyl, the limited run of 10 figures have been treated to a stunning paint app for the release, coming with a mix of purple, green, yellow and orange washes and sprays. Up for grabs via e-mail lottery starting this Saturday, February 28th coming in at just 3,800yen ($32) plus shipping, interested parties are going to need to fire over their name, address, telephone number and PayPal address to ktw.order@gmail.com before close on Friday, March 6th…


MAN-E-NEWS// The “Haunted” Dim sofubi from Frank Kozik x BlackBook Toy…

Hot on the heels of last month’s “Lil Alex” release, Nigo over at BlackBook Toy has revealed that Frank Kozik‘s “Dim” A Clockwork Carrot figure is also set to join in a matching “Haunted” colorway this weekend! Standing at around 9″ tall and featuring 4 points of articulation, the Clockwork Orange inspired piece has been produced in a smoke-clear soft vinyl this time around, coming with a mix of black, grey, white and gold masked sprays and fitted with either a gold or black colored chain.  Touching down in the BlackBook Toy store alongside a limited restock of “Haunted” Alex this Saturday, February 28th at 10pm Eastern time, pricing and edition size for the figure are still to be confirmed…


MAN-E-NEWS// The “Ankyloworm” sofubi micro from Science Patrol revealed…

Staying within the realms of sofubi micros today, we bring you the latest figure from Science Patrol, prehistoric invertebrate, the Ankyloworm! Taking a brief side-step from SP’s usual yokai-influenced output, the little guy – coming in at around 2.5” tall – appears to draw it’s inspiration from the recent revival of classic keshi lines such as Neclos Fortress, opting for a look that sits neatly in-between kaiju and D&D. Pictured here as a finished wax prototype, expect to see the Ankyloworm in soft vinyl very soon…


MAN-E-NEWS// The Tofu sofubi micro from Devil Robots x Rampage Toys revealed…

From the looks of his recent studio posts, it would appear that Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has a whole slew of new vinyl coming over the next few months, the first to be revealed coming in the form of this adorable Tofu micro for Devil Robots! Standing at little over 2” tall, the beautifully realised 2-part figure has been hand sculpted by Jon based on DR’s signature character, coming with a few slight adjustments to make the little guy more suitable for soft vinyl. Currently in the wax prototyping stage, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a debut release in the next couple of months…


MAN-E-NEWS// DeathCat Toys’ “Cerebus” Elder Demon revealed in full…

Wasting no time since the release of the first round of Elder Demons in keshi-form just a couple weeks back, Johan Ulrich over at DeathCat Toys has just revealed the series’ third entry in full, evil hellhound Cerebus! Designed by Johan and once again sculpted by the masterful KtoKto, the 3” tall mini – named after the three headed dog tasked with guarding the gates of hell – follows a similar approach to the previously released Oni Mira and Red Pharaoh, featuring a Bukkuriman/Ma-Ba Zombies inspired aesthetic with a split torso, finger puppet style design. Presumably seeing a run in a keshi rubber courtesy of DuboseArt ahead of full production in soft vinyl later in the year, be sure to stay tuned for more news on this awesome figure as soon as we get it…


MAN-E-NEWS// The “Chinpira” kaiju from Yamomark…

Satoru Doki over at Yamomark has just revealed his latest full-sized kaiju to make it into vinyl, the awesome Chinpira! Borrowing elements from the previously released Yamobazooka and Dobler, the approx. 9” tall beast comes with a number of eye-catching design features, including a tree trunk-like arm, a snake companion resting on his shoulder, and a rather ominous phallic-shaped head! Pictured here in it’s debut colorway – GID vinyl with a mix of pink, blue, gold, metallic brown and green sprays – it would appear that Chinpira will be making it’s first appearance at the upcoming Doki Doki Osaka Sofubi Show next month. Here’s hoping for an international online release soon after…

Our good friend Lee Burbridge over at Bigmantoys has just revealed that he’ll have an all-new series of figures up for grabs this weekend, “Los Guerreros Transformados”- The Transforming Warriors! A loving homage to the mysterious Mexican MOTU knock offs that came packed with random color limb/weapon assortments, the line fuses elements from the artist’s background in both keshi minis and 5.5” action figures,featuring bootlegged REMCO bucks cast in an assortment of different colored rubbers and fitted with contrasting hard resin heads and accessories- perfect for prolonged play! Touching down in the Bigmantoys store this coming Saturday, February 28th at Midnight London time, the Los Guerreros Transformados army will be up for grabs at just $44 each plus shipping…

With the second colorway of Uky Daydreamer’s DEKU the Buster touching down just a few weeks ago, the Japanese sofubi artist has wasted no time in preparing a third, proudly presenting the “Crisis” version!Standing at 4.7″ – around twice the size of Uky’s usual mini output – and coming with 3 points of articulation plus removable helmet, the Japanese astronaut has been treated to a life-like mix of grey, black and rust colored sprays, washes and dry-brushed detailing on an orange vinyl. Frank Mysterio’s Anticristo 666 sofubi returns for it’s latest “blank” micro-run, the Breaking Bad inspired “Cristal Azul”… Standing at around 8” tall and coming with 3 points of articulation, the Mysterio designed, Chauskoskis sculpted figure has been produced in a clear blue soft vinyl to replicate the cult T.V show’s blue crystal meth. MAN-E-NEWS// The “Blasted” Earth Wolf sofubi from Super7…



Once upon a time, there was a thing called Earth Wolf. He lived and undied in a magic forest full of things and so forth, until one day he was wandering around with his mind also wandering around, walked smack into a pretty sunset, and got it all over himself. Being an outdoorsy sort, he didn’t really worry too much about cleaning up afterwards. And so, forever blasted by the colors, he lived or died the rest of his days doing the things that an Earth Wolf do, the end.

It’s been a while since we last saw a run of Josh Herbolsheimer’s Earth Wolf sofubi, so it came with great pleasure this week to find out that the unique figure will be making a reappearance in an all-new “Blasted” colorway this week! Produced by Super7 in a vibrant orange vinyl with plenty of colourfully sprayed details, the 9” beast will be touching down in limited quantities on the Super7 store next Thursday, March 5th at Noon Pacific time for just $95 plus shipping…

Following an instant sellout release at Wonderfestival Winter 2015 a couple of weeks back, Dennis over at Shirahama Toy is proud to announce that the Awesome Toy x Grody Shogun “Super Space Guys” are now up for grabs via a 48 hour preorder! Featuring the body of Awesome Toy’s FAKE BARON and the head of Grody Shogun’s reoccurring dead astronaut figure (plus an alternative “space man” omake!), the 9” piece is available in 3 different color options; white, red and black, with blanks coming in at 8,000yen ($67), Shirahama-painted versions at 9,000yen ($76) and reduced price sets at 20,000yen ($168) and 23,000yen ($193) respectively. Having seen a few limited releases since it’s debut way back in July of last year, Pop Soda and RESTORE’s Jungle Fever “Fog” sofubi is finally seeing it’s first worldwide drop courtesy of Medicom Toy! Designed by PopSoda and sculpted byRESTORE’s Abe Junnokai, the beautifully realised chameleon stands upright at just under 8″, coming complete with 10 separate parts and 7 points of articulation. Produced in a life-like lime green soft vinyl with a paint app devised by the legendary Hirotosaigansho, the figure is currently available to Japanese customers through the Medicom store for 8,640yen ($73), whilst international collectors are going to need to fill out the dedicated lottery form right here to be in with a chance of bagging this must-have piece…

Hot on the heals of the recent “Outbreak” release, Daniel Smith aka Turbopistola has just dropped a whole slew of new figures in his store! Joining a new “Creamy Banana” Cuddle Hard produced in a bright yellow PVC at $3 each, Daniel has been hard at work on a fresh batch of one-off Elephants minis too, with each coming cast in a selection of different resin finishes and treated to a number of different paint apps for just $20-$25 each. But that’s not all! Joining Cuddlehard and the various Elephantos’, a number of OMFG and OTMFG figures are also up for grabs in a custom “Relic” colorway. Produced in a GID PVC, each mini figure has been treated to a detail-hugging black rub that really helps make the little guys pop in the dark. Having seen a limited release back in November last year, Cinema Monster from Splurrt’s new imprint Secretoy has received an all-new “Beta” colorway courtesy of Medicom Toy!Heavily inspired by the golden age of monster flicks, including both Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed “Galligantua” that graces the iconic cover of 1968′s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook, the lumbering 12″ tall beast has been produced in a white soft vinyl for this second release, coming with a mix of vintage inspired black, purple and dark metallic green sprays. Packed with a matching Greek column omake that can be placed in either of the figure’s clenching hands, Cinema Monster “Beta” is currently available to Japanese customers through the Medicom store for 17,800yen ($150), whilst international collectors are going to need to fill out the dedicated lottery form right here to be in with a chance of bagging this awesome beast…


MAN-E-NEWS// The Netsuke Karakasa and Yellow/Black NADSAT BOY sofubi at Toy Art Gallery…

Toy Art Gallery are excited to offer not one, but two awesome new releases this week! First up we have the latest iteration of Secret Base and Three Tide Tattoo’s Karakasa Tattoo Man. Dubbed the “Netsuke” edition, the beautiful figure has been cast in a brown vinyl and treated to a black rub to resemble the wooden texture of a traditional Japanese netsuke figure. Standing at around 7” tall, the “Netsuke” Karakasa has been priced at just $65… Next up, we have a new version of Kenth Toy Works’ NADSAT BOY. Cast in an intoxicating yellow and black marbled vinyl, the Clockwork Orange inspired piece stands at 7” tall, coming with a removable cane accessory for a very reasonable $45. The legend that is Paul Kaiju has been hard at work on a whole slew of new releases over the past couple of weeks, all of which will be touching down in his store at various points through Sunday, March 1st! Here’s a quick rundown of the incredible pieces that’ll be up for grabs…

Drawing inspiration from classic vintage wind-up toys, the beautifully sculpted figure replaces the original design’s torso with an upscaled Roly Poly ball, also removing the cymbals in favour of an all-new accessory- a trifecta of creepy leashed dogs featuring the original Iron Clown, Monkey and Skull heads! Produced in a black sofubi and treated to a highly detailed mix of metallic blue, red, silver and gold sprays, the 7″ tall figure is currently available to Japanese customers in the Medicom Toy store for 16,667yen ($140) plus shipping.
