IzuMonster of Blood Guts Toys has just unleashed a pair of his highly sought after Shikabane Kaiju on Yahoo Auctions Japan! Both unique, one-off customs – a Joker homage and a gorgeous pastel-hued Candy version – the Fulci zombie inspired duo stand at around 9.5″ tall with 5 points of articulation, coming complete with the “Toxic Eater” head variant. With starting prices at 23,000yen ($226), interested parties are going to need to head over to the separate auction pages here and here and place their bids before close on Friday, August 1st at 9pm Japan time…

With the Kickstarter incentive Zombitron’s now making their way into collectors homes, co-creator AColorfulMonster has just unveiled the figure’s first 2 micro-runs to make general release- Orange Metallo and Bruised & Bloodied! Standing at around 5.5″ tall and coming with 6 points of articulation, the Kenth Toy Works-sculpted figures have been produced in a white soft vinyl, complete with sprays and hand brushed detailing from AColorfulMonster. Limited to editions of just 4 pieces each, the pair can be found in the ACM store right here, priced at $65 and $75 respectively…

The sculptors behind Bad Teeth Comic‘s popular Mini Cheestoryer figure, Australian duo Double Haunt have finally been given a chance to let loose on the 5″ sofubi- the results of which can be found in their online store right now! Featuring a huge selection of customs using the “Crystal Clear” colourway, these have been joined by a limited number of the previously released blanks including the super rare “Black Glitter” version. Priced between $35AUD ($33) to $45AUD ($42) each and $80AUD ($75) for a special “Fire & Ice” set, the DH Mini Cheestroyers are available in-store right here

Debuting at the Paralyzing Toys WF booth earlier today, Rampage Toys’ “Original Bullmark” edition Jamira will be making a strictly limited appearance online later today! Officially licensed by Tsuburaya, the iconic “beast with no neck” has been hand sculpted by Jon Malmstedt, standing at around 5″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation. Produced by none other than Marmit in an authentic vintage yellow soft vinyl with light blue/silver sprays that match Bullmark’s first ever Jamira release, the figure comes bagged with a custom bootleg-style Ultraman header from Jon. Touching down in the Rampage store at around 10pm-11pm Japan time tonight (9am-10am EST) for around $45 each…

Marmit returns this month with another classic sci-fi rendered in kaiju form, this time around taking on the alien from the real-world Pascagoula Mississippi abductions in October, 1973! Based on the infamous descriptions from abductees Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker, the towering 9.5″ tall figure features the same wrinkled skin, neckless head, carrot-like growths, and haunting robot-like appearance as their claimed abductor. Available via open preorder until August 31st priced at just 5,250yen ($55.68 worldwide), Japanese customers can find the figure in the Medicom Toy store, whilst overseas orders are going to need to be placed through Rakuten here.

Originally teased here a couple of weeks back, we can now reveal Mirock Toy‘s officially licensed Wanpaku Ōji no Orochi Taiji sofubi in full! Featuring the classic Japanese animation’s lead protagonists, the Naughty Prince and Tiger, the beautifully sculpted, vintage styled figures have been cast in tan and yellow soft vinyl, coming with meticulous sprays from none other than Itokin Park. Going on sale at the Mirock Toy Wonderfestival booth (5-10-8) this Sunday, July 27th alongside limited restocks of both Jackie and Bikkemberg sets, pricing is likely to be around the 9,800yen ($97) mark…

But that’s not all! Joining the licensed releases, Mirock will also have a total of 3 releases in the highly sought after Dr Mirock series. Featuring mash-ups of the original series parts, new additions, plus a few borrowed from the recent Meka Chibira-Kun release, 2 sets will be on offer at 7,000yen ($69) each; Set 1 including a Mirock Attack, Tenno Ong and Tokotoko Mirock, and Set 2, a “Full Version” Mirock Rocket and Devil Busting Tank, as well as standalone mini, Dr Mirock Shock for 1,000yen ($10).

Hot off the heels of their first wave of Fake Spectreman sofubi back in May (here), the guys over at AWESOME TOY are proud to announce that another 2 pachi renditions of the super-cyborg are now up for grabs courtesy of Medicom Toy! Officially licensed by P-Productions, the 9.5″ tall soft vinyl figures feature the same body variants as the first release, albeit with new head sculpts and paint apps closely based on 2 of Spectreman’s many bootleg guises. Currently up for grabs in Japan through the Medicom Toy store priced at 9,000yen ($89) each, overseas customers are going to need to hit up Rakuten here to bag theirs…


MAN-E-NEWS// Miscreation Toys’ “The Iron Monster” prototype revealed…

Taking a brief sidestep from the hugely popular Autopsy Babies, artist Jerimi Rimel has just unveiled the latest sofubi from Miscreation Toys, The Iron Monster! Inspired by Dr Zorka’s robot in 30′s T.V serial “The Phantom Creeps”, the humungous 15″ figure has been designed by Rimel and digitally sculpted by iamscumbag. Currently available to check out in prototype form at the Lulubell Toys SDCC booth, we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground for word on production over the coming months…

Easily one of the most impressive reveals we’ve seen from SDCC 14 so far, the Toy Tokyo booth has been playing host to an all-new Pusshead x HxSaigansho Gorilla Ju head sculpt! Pictured above on top of a Pusshead-customised Mecha Ju and as an uncut marbled standalone, the incredible decayed-looking piece is said to be making it’s debut at the Pusshead NYCC signing, also at the Toy Tokyo booth, in October. With the success of the recent DC Retro Sofubi Collection tucked firmly under their (utility) belts, Medicom Toy are proud to reveal that they’ve secured a license with Marvel for a similar ongoing series- kicking things off this month with everybody’s favourite neighbourhood spider, Spiderman! Sculpted by Bear Model, the vintage-style figure stands at a lofty 8.8″ tall, complete with articulation in the head, arms and legs. Authentically painted in Spidey’s iconic primary red and blue and housed in a window display box, preorders for Japanese customers can be found in the Medicom Toy store (20,000yen), whilst overseas orders can be placed through Rakuten right here for $84.92 plus shipping…

Having proved a huge success upon release at ToyCon UK back in April, we can now announce that The Disarticulators x TriclopsRotten Tomato” will be making the leap from rubber to soft vinyl courtesy of Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys! Whilst we’ll remain tight lipped on the project for the time being, we can reveal that the release will feature much more than just a simple recast of the ball- but that’s all for now! Due to be making it’s debut at the Rampage x Disarticulator booth at NYCC in October, stay tuned for a full, exlcuisve reveal a little closer to the event…

Custom keshi master Eric Nilla has just unveiled his latest original figure, the El Kaiju lucha libre wrestler! Drawing inspiration from afar a field as kinkeshi right through to classic kaiju, the stunning hand sculpted piece stands at an oversized 2.5″ tall, making him the perfect companion to the original Nilla x Ironmask UoV “Boss” figures. Due for release alongside another all-new figure from the artist (more on that tomorrow!), expect to see the little rubber guy in a whole host of colours on the Nilla store soon…

As if the huge Fistful of Dominoes event at Gunnzo this Saturday wasn’t enough, Paul Kaiju has just revealed that he will also be making an appearance at Gargamel’s SDCC booth (#5144) the same day armed with a whole host of exclusives! On hand at the booth from 1pm, Paul will be debuting the latest incarnation of Mr REE, the Fungus Boxer. Based on the original resin figure of the same name, REE comes complete with all-new feet, hands, torso and head sculpts, all cast in a mix of GID/milky vinyl and treated to a gorgeous, vintage-style metallic paint job. Up for grabs via lottery at the booth, pricing and edition size are still to be confirmed…

Joining the Fungus Boxers, Paul will also have a number of one-off Quiller customs available too. Taken from Gravy Toys‘ Sons of Broadar series (which just so happens to be debuting at the Gargamel booth today), the figures feature standard “Jeff” body with new beaked head and fungal arm attachments from Paul. Produced in an array of different mixed-part soft vinyl and lavished with meticulous metallic sprays, pricing and edition size on these striking figures is again unfortunately still to be confirmed…

Mishka pay tribute to the late H.R Geiger with their latest SDCC exclusive to be revealed, the “Alien” Bootleg! Produced in a hard white vinyl courtesy of Adfunture, the Lamour Supreme designed figure has been treated to a dirty black rub that perfectly mimics the legendary artist’s aesthetic. Packed with header and backer art from Ray Martinez, the limited run of 10 figures will be touching down at Frank Kozik‘s booth (#5051) on Friday, July 25th at 1.11pm for $200 each…

Following our mammoth post here earlier in the week, we can now bring you the remaining SDCC exclusives that’ll be up for grabs at the Lulubell Toys booth this Saturday, July 26th! Joined by the remaining 5 of Restore’s Neo Japan and Evil Dave’s Bella Muerta, the final day plays host to a whole heap of Grody madness, with mash-ups and customs coming from Mishka, Mutant Vinyl Hardcore and newcomer Ummiko. Here’s a quick rundown of what’ll be up for grabs…

Mishka Mash-Ups (top)- The guys over at Mishka have teamed up with Grody Shogun for the release of 2 “Keep Watch” mash-ups! Featuring Lamour Supreme’s KW Bootleg head, the previously revealed “Children’s Toy” (coming with the legs of Ummiko’s Koningu) has been joined by a new sitting figure from Grody, both coming cast in multi-toned marble vinyl. Going on sale at the booth at 11am on Saturday, both have been priced at just $65 each, with the Ummiko figs limited to 8 and the Grodys, just 4.

Mutant Vinyl Hardcore x Grody Shogun- Saving the best until last, Lulubell have managed to secure a total of 3 Grody mash-up micro runs from none other than Rich over at Mutant Vinyl Hardcore! Featuring a mix of Grody Monster and Sludge Demon parts, the Blood Egg Grody’s (ltd 4), Strawberry Icey’s (ltd 3) and Ghoulies (ltd 4) have each been hand painted by Rich on a stunning pearl base vinyl, coming in at just $125 each. Going up for sale at the Lulubell booth via lottery on Saturday afternoon, tickets will be handed out at 3pm with a drawing at 3.15pm.

Joining the “Matt Black” edition posted yesterday, Frank Kozik and Blackbook Toy have managed to squeeze in an exclusive colourway of their latest sofubi Dim Bear just in time for SDCC this week! In a nod to the debut of the first Clockwork Carrot figure “Lil Alex” at SDCC last year, the T9G sculpted piece has been cast in the same GID soft vinyl, coming complete with a Droog-inspired mix of black, grey and orange sprays. On sale at Kozik’s booth (#5051) right now, the Dim Bear GIDs are likely to set you back around $145 a piece…

The end of another month means yet another gigantic batch of releases from Medicom Toy, and whilst we won’t be able to run through them all today, we thought we’d kick things off with not 1, not 2, but 3 jaw-dropping exclusives from Paul Kaiju and Toy Art Gallery! Here’s a quick rundown of the trio currently up for grabs…

“Golden Treasure” Slugbeard- Kaiju’s incredible 10″ tall monstrosity sees it’s second ever painted edition and the first to be released outside of TAG. Cast in what appears to be a brown vinyl with a plethora of gold and metallic sprays, Slugbeard comes complete with matching spike ball accessory and chain. Available via open preorder until August 31st priced at 20,000yen ($212.89 worldwide), Japanese customers can find the figure in the Medicom Toy store, whilst overseas orders are going to need to be placed through Rakuten here.

“Thirst Quench” Gacha Mini Set- Marking the very first painted run of Kaiju’s adorable gacha-style minis, the sub 3″ figures have been produced in a green vinyl with a host of intricate metallic sprays and hand painted detailing. Once again available via open preorder until August 31st, Japanese customers can snag them here for 10,000yen, whilst anyone overseas is going to need to head over to Rakuten and cough up the slightly higher price of $106.44.

“Blueberry Ice” Vertebrata- Kaiju and BLObPUS‘ collaborative figure returns for what has got to be one of her most stunning colourways yet, the rather aptly titled Blueberry Ice! Cast in a mesmerising pearlescent vinyl, the 8″ figure has been treated to a mix of black, blue and gold sprays in BLObPUS’ instantly recognisable style. Available via open preorder until August 31st, Japanese customers can find her here for 15,000yen and overseas here for $159.67.

Color Ink Book have teamed up with Skinner for an SDCC exclusive version of his Lurker resin! Originally making an appearance at DCon last year, the full sized figure (not to be confused with the recent Unbox minis!) has been subtly retooled for the release, coming complete with a pair of interchangeable hands- one holding a skull, and another, slightly more disturbing, clutching a baby by the ankles! Cast in a black resin and featuring minimal silver and crimson red painted detailing, the edition of 10 Lurkers will be up for grabs at the Color Ink Book booth (#4531) for an estimated price of $60 each…


MAN-E-NEWS// Miscreation Toys’ “Gergle” Autopsy Baby sofubi at SDCC…

Briefly mentioned in our Lulubell coverage earlier in the week, Jeremi Rimel over at Miscreation Toys has just confirmed that his “Gergle” Autopsy Baby will be making it’s debut at SDCC this week! Likely to drop in the unpainted colours pictured above, we’re guessing these guys will be up for grabs as part of the big Miscreation Toys lottery and signing at the Lulubell Toys booth (#5045) on Friday, July 25th at 3pm. Edition size and pricing is still to be confirmed, so be sure to keep track of the Autopsy Baby Instagram feed here for more details later in the week… On top of the AB releases, Rimel will also be unveiling the below prototype in full at some point during the event- so be sure to stay tuned for the reveal as soon as we can get our grubby hands on it!

Richard Page over at UME Toys has just revealed his entry for the upcoming “Modified Wool” group show, proudly Raph in a Box! Taking on Chima Group’s adorable dino sofubi mini with ease, Rich’s TMNT inspired custom is brimming with tiny details, including a beautifully sculpted shell, cleverly redesigned belt/scarf, plus a hand cut, “grease” stained box complete with Raphael’s twin sai and a slice pizza! Touching down at London’s Ray Gun Comics this Saturday, July 26th between 4pm-7pm, Raph in a Box will be available alongside 29 other custom Wool figures from a selection of artist around the globe. Frank Kozik will be pitching up at his SDCC booth (#5051) this week with a whole host of exclusive toy releases. Focusing largely on soft vinyl this year (with a hint of resin!), we bring you the full rundown of what’ll be up for grabs come opening time tonight…

“Matte Black” Dim Bear- The latest figure in Kozik’s anthropomorphic Clockwork Orange inspired series, the Blackbook Toy produced Dim features the same body as the previously released “Clockwork Carrot”, coming complete with a new goofy looking bear head design. Cast in a matte black soft vinyl for the release, the figure has been priced at $145.

“Supervillain” Clockwork Carrot- Joining his partner Dim, Clockwork Carrot will be returning in a “Supervillain” colourway! Produced in a white vinyl with Joker-inspired purple, green, red and yellow sprays, this guy will also be up for grabs at $145.

“Clear Blue” and “GID” Hateball- Kozik’s awesome Madball send up makes it’s second appearance in both glow in the dark and clear blue soft vinyl! With the GID limited to just the bigger, standalone version at $40, the clear blue edition features both large and the small, Mishka Bootleg-compatible version packed together for just $65. These have been limited to 25 each.

“Clear Blue” Heathrow- Produced in the same gorgeous clear blue vinyl as the Hateballs, these 3″ tall figures have been limited to an edition of 50, coming in at just $40 each.

“Lavender” Gipper- The latest in Kozik’s line of self-bootlegged mini busts, Gipper Reagan has been cast in a translucent “lavender” purple resin this time around. Again, limited to 50, these come bagged and tagged for $40 each.
