MAN-E-NEWS (UPDATED)// The Splurrt x DHP “Bi-Polar” Cadaver Twins sofubi…

Having teamed up on the hugely popular “Masked Alavaka” releases last year, Splurrt and Devils Head Productions are proud to reveal that they’re joining forces once more for a special “Bi Polar” Cadaver Twins release! Designed and sculpted by Splurrt, the grotesque infant has been produced in a flesh colored soft vinyl this time around, coming with what appears to be a bloody “split” paint app courtesy of DHP’s Toby Dutkiewicz. Pricing, edition size and release date for the figures are still to be confirmed, so be sure to keep an eye on both Splurrt and DHP Instagram feeds for the full lowdown over the next few days…

UPDATE// Along with the updated teaser pic you see above, we can now reveal that the “Bi Polar” Cadaver Twins will be touching down in the DHP store at some point on Saturday, September 5th, coming in at just $175 plus shipping…

The guys over at Japanese retailer Vignette are proud to reveal that they’ve secured an exclusive version of Healeymade‘s awesome Quackula sofubi! Based on the artist’s original custom bootleg release – a loving tribute to both Count Duckula and Universal Monsters – the Naoya Ikeda-sculpted figure stands just shy of 7″ tall and comes with a total of 4 points of articulation. Produced in a GID soft vinyl this time around, this third painted edition of Quackula comes with a mix of vintage-style black, purple and gold sprays courtesy of Shirahama Toy. Due to go on sale in the Vignette store right here this Saturday, August 29th at 1pm Japan time, the figure will set you back just 7020yen plus shipping…

Originally debuting way back in June, the “Woebegone Mamilla” sofubi from Psycho Scimitar will finally see its first painted release this weekend! After over a year of teasers and reveals, the highly anticipated “Woebegone Mamilla” sofubi from Psycho Scimitar will finally be making it’s debut this week! Designed and sculpted by Alex Gavryushenko, the “miserable nipple” stands at 8″ tall and around 6″ wide, featuring articulation in the neck as well as 2 different eyeballs and a tongue that can be stuck into the eye-sockets. Once again produced in a contrasting mix of magenta and blue soft vinyl, the figure has been treated to numerous psychedelic sprays and hand painted detailing in Alex’s unmistakable style. Limited to a run of just 12 pieces, the fully painted Woebegone’s will be touching down in the Psycho Scimitar store this coming Saturday, August 29th at 6pm Eastern time for just $125 each plus shipping…

Japanese toy retailer and producer Jungle have just revealed that they’ll have a whole slew of new “Skulltula Gaikotyu” sofubi minis up for grabs this weekend! Featuring over 10 previously unreleased colorways and editions for the adorable little guy, the release is set to feature “Gentlemen” versions complete with moustache, top hat and cane, tie wearing “Businessmen”, plus the original “Swordsmen”. Priced between 2160yen and 2700yen each plus shipping, expect to see the Skulltulas in the Jungle store right here on Sunday, August 30th at 1pm Japan time…

Manny X Romero has revealed that he’ll be unleashing a whole swathe of new mini figures into the Iconoclast Toys store later today, including s personal favourite of ours, the retro-tastic Power Claw! The perfect marriage of vintage gaming and toys, the little guy has been bootlegged from M.U.S.C.L.E/Kinnikuman’s infamous “Claw” keshi, coming complete with a beautifully rendered “Power Glove” based on Nintendo’s il fated controller. With his Domino Jack run recently  selling out in a matter of seconds, Todd Robertson aka Mechavirus is proud to reveal that he’ll be taking on a whole load more of Paul Kaiju‘s creations as part of a special “Vs” custom Salerno his store this weekend! Due to be split up into 2 “rounds”, the first – happening today (8/28) at Noon Eastern – is set to feature a clear cast King Jinx’ ($400) alongside a run of Unchimen ($250-$300), whilst the second – scheduled for 1pm Eastern on Sunday (8/30) will play host to a Gobo King (TBC) alongside some undisclosed extras… Full shots of a lot of the figures are still to be revealed, so be sure to keep a close eye on the Mechavirus store for the full lowdown over the next few hours…

Near identical to the original release seen back in May, both Hawk and Animal have been recreated in a stunning vintage sofubi style courtesy of Neugramm, standing at just under 10″ tall, featuring 5 points of articulation and coming with sleek blue armour and pant detailing. Originally teased right here way back in June, we can now reveal that the awesome “Skull God Dude” custom keshi from Nama Niku and John Black will be making it’s debut soon! Meticulously kit-bashed and re-sculpted by Nama using a variety of classic mini figures, the “Sidewalk Surfer” has been cast up by John in a soft resin, coming packed with an awesome in-scale skateboard for the little guy to ride on. Due to come packed with header art John, the Skull God dude will be making it’s debut in a special “Gravy Glow Green” colorway as part of the “Gravy Mini Shop and Gallery” opening at Portland’s Floating World Comics on September 3rd… Unable to attend the event? Then you’ll be glad to know that along with the previously featured “Chibi Pachi-Bots“, a limited supply of stock has been held back for an online release in the Gravy Toys store a week later. Extensively featured right here on Man-E-Toys since it’s announcement back in June, we can now reveal that the “Two Face Todd” sofubi from Bad Attic Toys is finally up for grabs! The first to feature in the ongoing Madball-inspired “Trouballz” line, the gruesome figure comes in at an authentically scaled 3″ wide, featuring a two faced, gross-out design complete with a rather clever cranium cap joint. Produced in a thick light purple soft vinyl that mimics the knock-off rubber Madballs of the late 1980’s, the first edition has been treated to a stunning array of bootleg-style purple, yellow, orange and green sprays. Coming packed with a matt-finish vintage style trading card in a deluxe showcase-style box, Todd is currently available via e-mail order for just $100 plus shipping. Standing at approximately 8″ tall and coming with articulation in the head, shoulders, hands and waist, the Japanese-produced figure has been cast in a beautiful deep red soft vinyl, coming with PK’s classic metallic sprays over a detail hugging rub. Priced at just $85 plus shipping, the “Red Rub” Vertebrata will be up for grabs via e-mail lottery starting today (8/26) at Noon Pacific time. Drawing inspiration from some of tokusatsu’s finest beasts, the beautifully sculpted creature has been designed and hand sculpted by the Play Studio team, standing at just under 4.5″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation. Yep, strangely yet more Human Centipede related toy news today, as Secret Base and Cure proudly reveal their collaborative figure based on the recent “Third Sequence” film! Depicting one of the many, many unfortunate prisoners that make up the 250+ strong centipede line depicted in the depraved flick, the little guy – positioned in the classic ass to mouth pose – has been produced in what appears to be a flesh colored soft vinyl, coming with a mix of red and black sprays. Touching down in the Secret Base store later this week to coincide with the film’s release in Japanese theatres, the figure will be available “blind bag” with a number of different chase variants on offer for just 3,000yen ($24) a piece…

Keeping up their steady flow of new figures over the past year, Mirock Toy have just unveiled one of the coolest creations we’ve seen yet… the “Dr Mirock Tank” mini! Closely based on the original “Dr Mirock’s Strange Invention” figure, the claw-armed deity has been perfectly down-scaled to what we can only guess to be around 2″ tall, featuring the same meticulous detailing albeit with a few minor modifications. Whilst we’re still unsure as to whether the figure will be released as an open-bottom sofubi similar to the original mini “Mirock Tank” or as a solid keshi – we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the latter – you can be sure that as soon as we find out, you guys will be the first in the know…

Standing at around 3″ tall, the super cute 2-part figures have been produced in a flesh tone for their first ever outing, coming in a whopping total of 9 different painted varieties ranging from “Blue Budgie” to “Avocado Bird”.
