Peter Kato comes with the final part of his recent trifecta of releases with the introduction of an all-new figure- The Bad Knight! Originally due to be the follow-up to last years Ninja-Robo release, the figure was put on the back burner until Peter had a fuller grasp of 3D software, being picked up again earlier in the year and now finally seeing it’s first release. Standing at around 3.5″ tall – perfectly in scale with the Ninja-Robo – the digitally sculpted figure features a total of 7 separate parts, each coming cast by hand and individually painted by Peter himself. Debuting in a “Metallic Grey” edition of just 8 pieces, each knight is set to come packed in a custom screen printed box (pictured below), priced at just $40 plus shipping. Touching down alongside a fresh batch of Ninja-Robos for just $25 a piece, expect the Bad Knights in the Peter Kato store this Thursday, September 4th at 9pm EST…

As promised in our reveal of the Footmen last week, we bring you yet another mini figure that artist Daniel Yu will be debuting at SGTCC this coming weekend (9/6-9/7)… the awesome Metalhead! Once again using the trusted Playmobil figure as a base for his creation, Daniel’s beautifully sculpted figure takes elements from punk and metal – a common feature in Daniel’s work – infusing them with the mask of the Fanastic Four’s iconic arch-nemesis to dazzling effect. Standing at around 3″ tall and coming with magnetic articulation in the arms, the resin cast figure (proto pictured) is likely to follow a similar path to the Footmen; with a blank, mixed-part edition debuting at the con, and a hand painted run following soon after… Expect the full lowdown on all of Daniel’s SGTCC exclusives later in the week…

Frank Kozik‘s awesome Madball send-up, the Hateball, is set to receive an all-new online release in the form of a “Mint” 2 pack set! Featuring both the small and Mishka Bootleg compatible large versions, the 2″ and 3″ diameter balls have been produced in an unpainted mint green soft vinyl this time around. Limited to an edition of just 13 – with one lucky customer receiving the one-off Hateball Salary Man chase pictured centre – expect these on the Kozik store at some point later this week for $75 plus shipping. Kaiju customiser Hello Pike has teamed up with Rampage Toys for a special “DINORAMA” run of Cyclops Dino sofubi! Whilst we’re still waiting to see exactly what it will entail, we can assume from the teasers pictured above that the release will feature a number of one-off customs from the artist utilising all 3 Dino designs, with each coming cast in Rampage’s super-squishy, pink soft vinyl. Featuring a number of mashed-up configurations from the original series, the Dr Mirock Totem and Mecha Chibira-kun set, a total of 4 different options are up for grabs; Dr Mirock Set A, featuring 3 unpainted, mixed part figures for $80; Dr Mirock Set B, featuring 2 mixed part figures, again for $80; the Dr Mirock Hontai, a hand painted, single part micro for $15; and the Dr Mirock Ryoukushou set, coming with a total of 4 figures that have been treated to a copper-oxide style paint app for $115. Hot off the heals of our recent Ooze-It ring reveal from new brand Gory Hole, we can now bring you exclusive details of yet another design in the ongoing “Monster on Your Finger” series! As with all planned rings in the line, this guy has once again been inspired by a famed bootleg monster toy, this time around taking on the infamous Japanese Stretch Monster variant of the late 1970’s. Meticulously recreated by Indonesian artist Baindots exclusively for Gory Hole, the ring is set to feature alongside alongside the original Ooze-It inspired design during the brand’s debut at NYCC, coming in an initial run of 20 pewter casts. Produced in what appears to be a mix of both blue and standard GID soft vinyl, the 7″ figures have each been treated to a wild selection of metallic and neon sprays- each completely different from the last. Currently available via the usual lottery system on the BLObPUS blog right here, successful applicants will have to cough up between 15,000yen ($144) and 16,500yen ($159) plus shipping to secure the figures…

Tarantino’s D’jango and Star Wars, the bounty hunting space cowboy has been kit-bashed from a number of vintage 3.75″ figures, coming cast in an opaque dark red resin with black rub and blue hand painted detailing. Rich Montanari Jr over at Mutant Vinyl Hardcore has just revealed a rather impromptu new Beserker release, the “Black Magic Witch Hunter” edition! The third official painted run for the hulking 13.5″ neo-kaiju, the stunning figure has been produced in a black soft vinyl this time around, coming with a multitude of silver sprays and red hand painted detailing, a “haunted axe” weapon, plus the standard severed head omake with chained throwing trident. Currently up for grabs via lottery on the MVH site until 11.59pm EST tonight (8/29), successful applicants will have to hand over just $200 plus shipping for the beast. But that’s not all! On top of the pictured regular run, a total of 3 one-off Berserker will also be thrown into the mix, with the lucky few given the option of buying either a standard or custom figure. Originally teased at SDCC last month, “Galaxy Commanders”, the debut line from Hong Kong-based soft vinyl toy producers SKULLMARK has just been revealed in full! Featuring a total of 9 different heads and 2 alternative bodies, the stunning 9″ tall figures have been directly inspired by obscure 1977 action figure line “Starroid Raiders” from Tomland, each only featuring the slightest of design tweaks from the quirky 3.75″ originals. Due to be produced in Japan courtesy of Lulubell Toys this Fall, expect more news on this intriguing series soon!

Butch Adams over at ButcherBrand has revealed that he’ll be following up last year’s Megara sofubi with an all-new, full sized figure soon! Pictured here as a near-finished clay proto, it would appear that the neo-kaiju beast will feature 3 points of articulation, and more importantly, a grip of interchangeable, Madball-style heads; the “Ducklizard”, 2 faced “Space Mummy”, and a third, as yet untitled design having been revealed so far. Hopefully making its way into vinyl production before the year is out, we suggest keeping a close eye on the ButcherBrand Instagram feed here for more concrete information on the project soon…

Having overseen numerous hand cast releases over the past year, Marty “THEGODBEAST” Hansen over at True Cast Studio is proud to reveal that The Walking Dud mini figures will finally be debuting in PVC this weekend! Produced in China at the prestigious Onell Design factory, the fully articulated, Glyos compatible figures will be available in 3 different editions to start with; an unpainted “Pheyden Blue” for just $8, a fully painted “Ultra Rotten” in baggie for $15, and an “Ultra Rotten DX”, also fully painted, but packed in a clamshell with header card and inner vacuum formed tray for $20. Boshi Neko Freako (top)- Artist Paper Daniel has taken on Grody Shogun‘s adorable mini sofubi “Boshi Neko” for the release of a super limited custom micro-run! Each coming uniquely hand painted by Daniel on a light blue soft vinyl base, the creepy-yet-cute kitties will be touching down in the Lulubell store this Friday, August 29th at Noon PST for just $45 each.

RESTORE’s Black Zeus & Goddess- Up for preorder in-store right now are the latest mini figures from RESTORE, Black Zeus and the Goddess. Originally debuting at Wondefestival a few weeks back, a limited supply of both figures in either black or red can be yours for just $5 each (limit of 1 per person). On top of the figures, there are also a number of different RESTORE Bone t-shirts up for grabs too, so be sure to head on over and check them out before they inevitably disappear!
