Max Toy Co‘s Mark Nagata is proud to reveal that he’ll be unleashing a hand painted run of “Mushroom Monster” Kaiju Kinora sofubi online this week! Originally created by artist Kaori Hinata as part of last year’s Kaiju Gals contest, the adorable little fungi has been sculpted by TTToy’s Makino-san at a Monster Boogie-compatible 3″ tall. Produced in a grey soft vinyl this time around, the figure has been treated to a detail hugging black rub, gold detailing and simple green, red and yellow sprays courtesy of Nagata. Touching down in the Max Toy store this coming Friday, September 4th, expect to pay around $30 plus shipping for the piece…

Hinted in our recent coverage right here, we can now reveal that TTToy’s latest officially licensed IWA Japan Pro Wrestling sofubi – the mighty “Chupacabra” – has been granted a worldwide release courtesy of Lulubell Toys! The fifth figure to feature in the ongoing series, the infamous reptilian wrassler has been faithfully realised by TTToy’s Makino-san, standing in-scale with previous releases at around 4.5″ tall and coming with similar articulation in the waist and arms. Produced in what appears to be a green soft vinyl with authentic cream, metallic green, red and silver sprays, the beast’s first colorway can currently be found in the Lulubell store alongside an all-new “GID” Yeti and “Brown” Bigfoot for just $30 each plus shipping…

With the past 2 months seeing Medicom Toy re-release Anraku Ansaku’s legendary “Zoromederu” and “Gogamejira”, the Japanese toy giant is planning to go one step further with their next collaboration, unleashing all-new figure “Pokopon the Raccoon” (たぬきのぽこぽん) and variant “Panda/PanFutoshi Ron” (パンダのぱん太ロン). Beautifully sculpted in classic vintage sofubi proportions, the adorable duo share the same general body and shape, differentiated by Pokopon’s longer tail and Ron’s cap and vinyl waist coat. Standing at just under 10″ tall and featuring 6 points of articulation, the pair have been produced in what appears to be pink and GID soft vinyl for their first outing, coming complete with matching masked black, cream and blue sprays. Going on sale via open preorder through the Medicom Toy store starting Thursday, September 24th, both have been priced at just 10,800yen ($89) each plus shipping. But that’s not all! As an added buying incentive, anyone who purchases both figures will also receive unpainted heads and tails of both Pokopon and Ron… Time to start saving!

Having already seen two sell-out drops this year, the “Robo Top” resin spinning top from Inami Toyland‘s Kevin Nam returns by popular demand for a special “Nightfall” release! Coming in at around 2″ tall by 2″ wide, the fully working, hand sculpted spinning top features an ingenious “rock, paper, scissors” style mechanic, with each of the robot’s hands (clenched, 2 fingers up and 3 fingers up) representing the game’s 3 choices. Produced by Kevin in 2 different sunset-inspired colorways for this release, an unpainted “Warm Orange” and “Cool Blue”, both have once again been limited to an edition of just 10 pieces each. Featuring many of the same pieces that were on display at Singapore’s Paradise, these will be joined by a few exclusive runs, including the pictured “Pink Glitter” Byron and gorgeous “GID” Rangeron – a release that perfectly mimics T9G’s (pictured) GID Rangeas that was released way back in 2007. Whilst details are still be to be confirmed with regards to post-show sales, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that a few of both Byron and Rangeron are held back for an online release soon after…

Designed and hand sculpted by Shigeo, the hideous creation appears to be much taller than past releases at around 8” (TBC), coming complete with 5 points of articulation and an as-yet-unrevealed omake accessory for the “reeding of the Mole Man”. Designed and digitally sculpted by Blackseed’s Kenneth Tang and produced by Angel Abby, the stunning figure has been heavily inspired by Ghostbusters’ Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, featuring a similar “bubble” design that features a number of additional resin cast parts, including a Alien-esque chest busting parasite, eyes, teeth and sailor hat… Making it’s debut as part of a group exhibition at Angel Abby’s Hong Kong-based store soon, the figure is due to touch down in 3 different colorways; the pictured “OG” white, unpainted clear and GID, coming in at just $700HK ($90) each.
